Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you agree that clean water should be provided free, and you give relevant reasons involving affordability and the effects of unsafe water on health, schooling and work. The example about people near your hometown helps make the argument more concrete. However, the response addresses the task only partially: it does not fully explain how a free public supply would ensure that water is clean, and the point about government provision is not developed into a clear supporting argument. The response is also 30 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop your ideas. To strengthen the response, explain the practical benefits and possible challenges of free provision, and extend your example with clearer details.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: you introduce the issue, state your view, and then describe the effects of poor water access on children and adults. This gives the reader a basic route through your argument. However, the response has no clear paragraph breaks, and the ideas do not progress consistently from one point to the next. For example, the sentence beginning “The water is free of cost there” shifts from free water to unhygienic water without clearly explaining the relationship between these points. Linking words such as “because” and “if I talk about” are used, but connections are sometimes awkward or repetitive. Use separate paragraphs for your position, supporting reasons and conclusion, and make each paragraph develop one main idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “clean water,” “human right,” “diseases,” “access” and “economical issues.” These words help communicate your main concerns about health and affordability. However, the range is limited and several expressions are repeated, particularly “free of cost,” “clean water” and “access.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, such as “compoulsry,” “prespective,” “hyginic” and “skiny,” which can make the reader pause. Some phrases are not natural in this context, including “daily life loses” and “clothes are always feel and smell dirty.” Build a wider set of accurate topic phrases and check spelling and collocations before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences, for example by explaining that children are sick and therefore cannot attend school or play. However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and attempts at complex sentences often contain errors that make the meaning harder to follow. Examples include “every one cannot afford to pay and than buy water,” “Individual near to my home town have no access,” and “they are also humans and they have right.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, especially in the long final sentence, which joins several ideas without clear stops. Practise forming accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with conjunctions, while checking subject–verb agreement, articles and plural forms.
