Student answer (Band 5.0)
Clean water is basic neccessity of every individual either human or animal. Some people believed that every individual has water supply without any charges. I completely agree with this statement, every person should have basic amenities. The following points delineate the underlying forces of clean water.
First of all, clean water is one of the daily requirements of human as well as for plants and animals. It is used for drinking, cooking, and washing. Without water life is not possible. So therefore, government should provide access to clean water especially for disadvantage families. Some people cannot affort basic resources of life such as food and electricity. They work hard to earn money for survival.
Secondly, people overutilized water because it is free of cost. so for that, government should implement restriction on wastage of water. For instance, in swat, water is free of charges so the residence often waste it, they did not close the null or overflow the water. Now government only provide water to those places who value the water and do not waste it. In addition, the government also fined those residence who continously polluted river and streams.
From my perspective, clean water should not be completely free of cost instead it should be at minimum cost so every individual can pay it. This can affect an individual perspective on wastage of water. They will definetely save water.
In conclution, clean water should be used minimum as much as possible in order to secure future. If this generation over-consumed water it can effect future generation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear overall view that water should be affordable, and you include relevant points about basic needs, unequal access and waste. The example from Swat also helps connect your argument to a real situation. However, the position shifts: you first say you “completely agree” that water should be free, but later argue it “should not be completely free” and should have a minimum cost. This makes it unclear whether you agree with the statement as written. The reasons are also only briefly developed; for example, explain how a low charge could protect access for poorer households while discouraging waste. State a consistent position and support each main reason with fuller explanation.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an introduction, separate body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “First of all,” “Secondly” and “In conclusion” make the main sections easy to identify. However, the overall progression is not fully clear because the argument moves from free provision to a minimum charge without explaining how these positions fit together. Some linking is mechanical or inaccurate, as in “So therefore,” and the repeated references to “water” and “government” make connections between ideas less smooth. The Swat example contains several points—waste, restricted supply and fines—but their relationship to the main argument could be organised more clearly. Use a consistent line of reasoning and make each paragraph develop one central point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “basic amenities,” “wastage,” “polluted” and “future generation.” There are also attempts to express more specific concepts, such as “disadvantage families” and “over-consumed water.” However, the range is limited and some word choices or forms are noticeably inaccurate, which can make meaning less precise. For example, “null” does not clearly convey the intended water outlet, and “residence” is used where you mean residents. Spelling errors such as “neccessity,” “affort” and “definetely” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of expressions for access, affordability and conservation, and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use mostly straightforward sentence patterns and attempt some longer structures, including “Without water life is not possible” and the conditional sentence beginning “If this generation over-consumed water.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences awkward or difficult to follow. For example, “every individual has water supply” lacks an article, while “the residence often waste it” has a subject–verb agreement problem. The sentence “I completely agree with this statement, every person should have basic amenities” joins two independent clauses incorrectly. There are also inconsistent verb forms in “they did not close the null or overflow the water.” Practise accurate clause joining, agreement and consistent tense use, then proofread punctuation.
