Student answer (Band 5.0)

Getting clean water is the important human right thats why every home should have free of charge water supplies for their daily use and health.

A clean water is the nessecary use of our lifes. water we need everywhere is daily routine. Our body 80% working on water. clean water is the main source for food health dirty water caused bad health. Infections like dierea and bad imune sytem can develped due to dirty water. for example using the dirty water effect many humans and that inreased the death rate and country goes down.

Water should be provided free of cost because many of the people are not able to reserve the basic need of the lifes on that water is the main source to live. They not able to pay bills and this is the need of the daily use. Their incomes are so low so they not even get foods properly so how they get water which they have to use in different places like washing and drinking Respectively if person salary is very low so how they pay the bill of the thing that use in all days his all goes in this and they not get other sources and this cause bad results.

In concuslion, getting free and clean water is the basic right of every human because our life 80% work on water If they dont get that their lives become impossible to live. Country should work on this by helping the peoples so they live at least with this.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you agree that clean water should be free, and you give relevant reasons involving health and affordability. The examples of infections and low-income households show an understanding of the issue. However, the response addresses the argument only partially because several points are asserted rather than explained. For instance, the claim that water is needed for “washing and drinking” could be developed by distinguishing essential household use from unlimited consumption. The statement that “country goes down” is also unclear and unsupported. To strengthen the response, explain how free provision could be funded or managed, and develop one or two examples with clearer cause-and-effect reasoning while maintaining your position throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The health argument is followed by affordability, which gives the essay some organisation. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow because ideas are repeated or joined without clear relationships. In the affordability paragraph, the repeated questions about how low-income people can pay make the point circular rather than advancing it. Linking phrases such as “for example” and “because” are used, but connections are sometimes unclear, and punctuation does not consistently separate ideas. Use a clear topic sentence for each body paragraph, then explain and illustrate that point in sequence. More precise referencing and sentence boundaries would make the argument easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use relevant basic vocabulary, including “clean water,” “basic right,” “infections,” “dirty water,” and “incomes,” so the main topic is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes meaning difficult to interpret. For example, “reserve the basic need” does not express the idea of affording or accessing an essential service, and “bad imune sytem” is not a natural phrase. Spelling errors such as “dierea,” “develped,” and “concuslion” also reduce clarity. Build a bank of accurate topic vocabulary and check spelling, word forms, and common combinations. Aim to express each point precisely rather than repeating “water” and “need.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both short statements and longer sentences, including a reason-and-result structure such as “because many of the people are not able to…” However, the range of sentence patterns is limited, and errors are frequent enough to make some sentences hard to understand. Examples include “A clean water is,” “They not able to pay bills,” and “their lives become impossible to live,” which show problems with articles, missing verbs, and sentence construction. Several long sentences run together, particularly in the affordability paragraph, so the relationships between clauses are unclear. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses using “because,” “so,” and “if.” Check subject–verb structure, articles, and punctuation when editing.
