Student answer (Band 6.0)
Water is the basic human need and life is impossile without it. Access to pure water is a fundamental human right. Therefore every house should be facilitated with a free of cost water supply system. I strongly agree with this statement, and in this essay I'll explain my point of view.
First of all, the basic human right is the provision of clean drinking water because it is proven that drinking dirty water is the leading cause of severe detrimental diseases. For example a majority of those people is affected by the diseases like Chlorea and Typhoid whom lack clean water. That's way government should take measures to ensure the supply of clean water to all the homes.
Second main cause is the high rate of poverty due to which people are unable to drink mineral or filtered water. For example people of Somalia are obliged to drink muddy and dirty water because they have insufficent money to buy clean water for drinking.
There is also a group of people whom believe that provision of clean water is not the responsibility of government and one should arrange clean water for themselves. For example by installing water filtration plant at home or by bringing water from a nearby water treatment plant, this difficulty can be solved.
To conclude, I would say that although the temporary availability of clean water from a near by filtration plant can be done by people but it's not a permanent solution. To cope up this problem, government should initiate developmental and progressive programmes to resolve the problem caused by dirty water on long terms.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: “I strongly agree,” and the conclusion reinforces that governments should address the problem. You give relevant reasons, including the health risks of dirty water and the difficulty poorer people face in obtaining safe water, with examples such as Somalia. However, the response does not fully explain how free household supply should work or why it should be provided without charge, rather than simply ensuring access. The paragraph presenting the opposing view is also not fully reconciled with your position: it describes private filtration or collecting water but does not explain why these are inadequate for everyone. Develop each reason with clearer explanation and connect the examples directly to your argument.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate supporting paragraphs, an opposing view, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “First of all,” “Second,” and “To conclude” help readers follow the main stages. Overall, the ideas are arranged coherently, but some connections are mechanical or unclear. For instance, “Second main cause” does not clearly identify what it is a cause of, and the opposing-view paragraph is not linked back to your agreement. The conclusion introduces a “temporary” solution without clearly showing how this follows from the earlier discussion. Use transitions that express the precise relationship between ideas, and make each paragraph’s central point explicit before adding its example.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “fundamental human right,” “filtered water,” “water treatment plant,” and “developmental programmes.” These choices make the subject clear, and attempts at more formal language are evident. However, some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “facilitated with a free of cost water supply system,” “high rate of poverty,” and “cope up this problem.” There are also spelling errors, including “imposible,” “Chlorea,” and “insufficent.” These do not prevent understanding, but they reduce precision and control. Prefer straightforward, natural expressions and check spelling; for example, say that homes should “be provided with a free water supply” and that governments should “address this problem.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a reason clause in “because it is proven that…” and a concession in the conclusion beginning “although.” The overall meaning is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “a majority of those people is affected” has an agreement problem, while “people whom believe” uses the wrong relative pronoun. The sentence beginning “For example by installing…” is a fragment rather than a complete sentence, and “although … can be done by people but” combines incompatible linking structures. Articles and sentence punctuation also need attention. Practise building complete sentences around examples and using one clear structure for contrast; this will improve accuracy while preserving your attempts at complex grammar.
