Student answer (Band 5.0)
A clean water play a significant rol in every human life, and every human has a right to access to clean water in their each house. And i think this is a basic human right. I agree that every home should have a water supply that is provided free of charge.
Firstly, water is a basic and crucial need for human, as it helps in many ways. For instant, washing, cooking, cleaning, and so many. Without the water people cannot imagine their life. Additionally, only having water is not important, having clean water is very significant because clean water help people keep healthy. Moreover, due to the populations growth, the water sources also decreasing day by day. People misused the water, as they waste the water by using unwanted things. They popullated the water by washing the cloths in the rivers and the chemical of teh soap damage the taste of water, and people become sick by drinking that water. Not only that, the waste released from the factory also mixed in the water. So, by this people cannot get clean and enough water.
In the other hand, their is a lot of good thing if people managed water resources in proper way. Like they can organise the water resources program in places, espicially in the place where there are lot of dirty water. If people manage water, rivers, ponds, lakes properly they can get a lot of benefit, not only for human but animals also get clean and enough water.
So, government should concern on such kind of things and make a strict rule for those people who polute the water. And also they should provided fee of charge for each of the house.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you agree that households should receive clean water free of charge, and you give relevant reasons, including water’s importance for health and the effects of pollution. The examples of soap and factory waste help illustrate the problem. However, the response only partly develops the central claim about free provision. Much of the discussion shifts to managing water resources and punishing polluters, without explaining who should pay for supply or how free access could be provided. The point about animals also moves away from the question of household access. To strengthen the response, explain the practical and social benefits of free household supply and develop each supporting reason more fully. The required length is met; 13 words copied from the task prompt were not counted.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “Additionally” and “So” help signal relationships between ideas. However, progression is not consistently clear. The second body paragraph begins “In the other hand,” but it does not present a clear opposing view; instead, it introduces resource management, which partly repeats the earlier discussion of pollution. Several ideas are also linked in long chains, making their relationships harder to follow. Use paragraphs to give each main reason a clear focus, and connect examples directly to the claim they support. More precise referencing and fewer repeated transitions would make the argument easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the general argument, including “clean water,” “water sources,” “chemical” and “factory.” There are also attempts to express more specific ideas, such as water being “provided free of charge.” However, the range is limited and some word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which can make meaning less clear. For example, “the water sources also decreasing” and “They popullated the water” do not express the intended ideas naturally; “polluted” would be appropriate in the latter case. Spelling errors such as “espicially,” “cloths” and “polute” are noticeable. Build a more accurate set of topic phrases and check spelling and word forms when revising.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “If people manage water… they can get a lot of benefit.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors sometimes make the reader work to understand the meaning. Examples include “A clean water play,” “clean water help people,” and “their is,” which show problems with articles, subject–verb agreement and there/their forms. Verb forms are also inconsistent in “they should provided fee of charge,” while several sentences join multiple clauses without clear punctuation. Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and verb, correct agreement, and complete clause structure. Shorter, accurately punctuated sentences would improve clarity while you build control of longer forms.
