Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position. However, the development of ideas is limited and repetitive. While you mention the importance of health, the arguments lack depth and specific examples. The counterargument is introduced but not effectively integrated or refuted, leading to a somewhat disjointed flow. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a distinct, well-explained point that directly supports your thesis, rather than restating the same idea about disease prevention multiple times.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. Transitions are often mechanical or misused, such as 'Nevertheless, these arguments are not entirely convincing' appearing before the argument is fully presented. There are also issues with referencing; for example, the phrase 'this viewpoint' is used without a clear antecedent in the preceding sentence. The conclusion is somewhat repetitive and does not effectively synthesize the main points. Improving the use of linking words to show relationships between ideas would enhance the flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word-choice errors, such as 'it is a clean that my opinion' (likely meant 'clear') and 'fundamental aspects' (should be singular). You rely on basic vocabulary and repeat terms like 'clean water' and 'human health' frequently. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more sophisticated synonyms and collocations related to public policy and economics.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('every home must be have'), missing articles, and incorrect sentence structures ('One of the main reason I support if the government supplies...'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after commas and periods. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors impacts the overall fluency of the writing. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for small errors would significantly improve your score.
