Student answer (Band 6.5)
People have a right to deserve the fresh water at home. As a result, every household have a right to get free water supply without any bills. I disagree with this point, because the government needs to suffer for their funds, and people start misusing the water supply if its free.
Although, in several nations try to implement this schemes as a result, it effect the government funds and they have to face the debt trap. Therefore, government needs funds to improve the infrastructure and their time to time changes in the country, if the nation does not have sufficient amount of income that will effect on their financial crisis. For Instance, Nigeria government try provide free water supply in several parts due to that they suffers debt traps for the 2 years and they do not have sufficient money to spend on developments.
Second major part is that, if this thing happen citizens start taking water as for granted that means they does not feel any value and significance of the water. Consequently they start wasting the water without any concern for future generation and how it will going to be effect on the environment. For example, in India 2015 the government started a plan for slum areas that people who can not afford the water bills because of that free water supply was provided by government consequently, they often waste large amount of water yearly just because they are getting free. I disagree with that because, people forgot that the importance of water in their life if it is free of cost.
In the conclusion, Access of clean water is a basic needs for human being, However every household should get free cost of water supply. I disagree because that will going to effect of income to the government and people start shows less value for water.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You clearly state your position against providing free water, and you provide two main reasons: the financial burden on governments and the risk of water wastage by citizens. While your ideas are relevant, they are somewhat under-developed. For instance, the example regarding Nigeria is a bit vague and lacks specific context to fully support the argument about 'debt traps.' To improve, try to expand on your points with more detailed explanations or nuanced examples. You address all parts of the prompt, but the development of your arguments remains at a basic level, which prevents a higher score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices like 'Consequently,' 'For instance,' and 'In the conclusion.' However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as 'Although, in several nations try to implement...' where the grammar disrupts the flow. Additionally, some transitions between sentences are abrupt. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that your referencing (e.g., 'this thing') is clearer to avoid ambiguity.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it is somewhat repetitive and lacks precision. You use basic terms like 'things,' 'get,' and 'effect' (often used incorrectly instead of 'affect'). There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'suffer for their funds' and 'time to time changes.' To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more sophisticated vocabulary related to economics and social policy, and pay closer attention to word forms and collocations to ensure your meaning is conveyed accurately.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the essay, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'every household have,' 'government try provide') and verb tense consistency. You also struggle with sentence structure, often creating run-on sentences or fragments. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often marred by errors that occasionally impede the reader's understanding. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that your complex sentences are punctuated correctly. Proofreading for these common errors would significantly improve your score.
