Student answer (Band 6.5)

Approach of filtered water is essential human right. That's why all houses adhere to have a water supply that are free of cost. This is becoming the debated topic nowadays but tough, I completely agree with that the water supply should be cost free.

No doubt water is most essential component for humans to survive. But in many regions of world crystal clear water that are suitable for drinking purpose is not available. But in many developed countries water is available but not free, So people buy it with cost. however, Government provide clean water to all communities without any expense that's why it is more suitable for poor and needy peoples. Main concern of low status family is to get basic and efficient facilities to get a healthy and engaging lifestyle for surviving and also for their kids.

The dirty water can cause many deceases and serious affect on physical and mental health. Poor families have serious concern of having dirty water nowadays because the rich communities can buy clean water and also spend on water for drinking. Major drawback of getting water paid is that the needy or poor peoples can't afford filtered water so they go with drinking dehydrated and health conscious water so they fall ill and got admitted in hospitals and pay heavy fees of doctors and poverty increases. Then they again achieve connection of water supply by paying after getting all the headache.

In conclusion, every home adhere to get opportunity for drinking clear and filtered water through water supply without paying heavy cost. So both upper and lower classes can enjoy benefits of clean water for daily life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The ideas are relevant, focusing on the health and economic implications of water access. However, the development is somewhat repetitive, particularly in the second and third paragraphs, where the argument regarding poverty and health is restated rather than expanded with diverse evidence. While the position is clear, the supporting arguments lack depth and specific examples, which limits the score. To improve, you should focus on providing more nuanced reasoning or distinct points, such as the role of government infrastructure or the potential economic trade-offs of 'free' services, rather than repeating the same point about illness and costs.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or slightly inaccurate. For instance, the transition 'But in many regions of world' and the repetitive use of 'But' at the start of sentences disrupt the flow. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'that's why it is more suitable', where the antecedent is ambiguous. While the overall progression is logical, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the occasional awkward phrasing make the cohesion feel somewhat basic. Improving the variety of transition signals would enhance the readability.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. There are several instances of awkward word choices or incorrect collocations, such as 'dehydrated and health conscious water' and 'achieve connection of water supply'. The term 'deceases' is used incorrectly instead of 'diseases'. While you are able to communicate your ideas clearly, the range is limited, and the errors in word choice are noticeable. To reach a higher band, focus on learning collocations (e.g., 'public health' instead of 'physical and mental health' in this context) and using more precise academic vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'all houses adhere to have', 'water supply that are free') and article usage (e.g., 'in many regions of world'). There are also issues with sentence construction, such as 'This is becoming the debated topic nowadays but tough, I completely agree'. These errors are frequent enough to be distracting. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that your complex sentences are constructed with correct punctuation and conjunctions.
