Student answer (Band 6.5)

To get access to purified water is the basic human need for survival , so that Government should impose certain strategies to proved clean water to every house free of cost , I am completely agree with this statement , In forthcoming paragraph I shall explain why clear water should provided to every citizen of the country.

There are several compelling reasons for providing basic and vital thing to the public , The chief one is all the living organisms can not survive without clear water, now the clean water resources are diminished due to environmental pollution that lead to various health issues For instance consuming water that contain industrial effluents like cadmium, nickel , mercury that leads to several diseases like kidney failure ,neurological damage ETC .

Lawmakers should take certain steps that help the public by providing filtered water ,pre-dominantly access to the clean water should be free of cost so that every one use it as drinking , cleaning , purposes .

The other strategy that government should try to impose is to enhance sanatory condition in local areas ,As we look to the local and middle class areas people suffer from less availability of water if they get water but it is no clean or not be able to use for drinking and cooking purposes there is a need to boost the management of underground water.

In conclusion ,despite the valid arguments placed by opponents regarding non availability of clean water to public , i am still convinced that it the responsibility of Government to deliver filtered water to everyone because its benefits are substantial

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of free water. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention health risks like 'kidney failure' and 'neurological damage', the argument regarding the economic feasibility or the 'free of charge' aspect is not fully explored. The essay tends to repeat the need for clean water rather than providing a nuanced discussion on the implications of a universal free supply. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph develops a distinct, well-supported point that directly addresses the prompt's specific requirement for a 'free of charge' service.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow is occasionally hindered by mechanical transitions. For example, the phrase 'In forthcoming paragraph' is an unnatural way to introduce ideas. Cohesive devices are used, but they are sometimes repetitive or used incorrectly, such as the comma splices and the awkward use of 'ETC' at the end of a sentence. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs could be improved by using more sophisticated linking words to connect the problem (pollution) to the proposed solution (government intervention) more fluidly.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. You use basic terms like 'clean water' and 'basic human need' repeatedly. There are also some noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'sanatory condition' (likely meaning 'sanitary conditions') and 'pre-dominantly access'. While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is limited, and the errors in word formation occasionally draw attention to themselves. To improve, try to incorporate more academic collocations and precise terminology related to public policy and environmental health.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that affect the flow. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'all the living organisms can not survive'), missing articles (e.g., 'to proved clean water'), and incorrect punctuation, specifically the frequent use of comma splices instead of full stops. These errors are persistent throughout the text. While the meaning is usually understandable, the lack of control over complex structures and the frequency of basic errors prevent a higher score. Focus on mastering sentence boundaries and basic article usage.
