Student answer (Band 6.0)
Clean water is basic human right thus every human should have a water supply that is provided free of charge. I agree with this statment beacause water plays vital role in our daily life, without it no one stays alive. I shall discuss in furthermore paragraph to why it should be free of cost.
Filtered water and paying charges for it is unfair in my opionion. Cause in Africa due to poverty they drank dirty water just for their survival and many of them died due to it. Just had they provided it free of cost they would have not strggled due to it. I strongly believe for a healthy lifestyle and for better development of us clean water is neccessary. As 60% of adult human body is made up of water.
In my opnion the basic human rights should have less strickness then any other thing. The reason to it is poor community can't afford it and due to paid supply they can't do anything about it and drink from lakes that are dirty, which causes diseases in them. Those who have survive gave birth to disable ones. Watching their loved ones suffering hurts alot.
So for the sake of humanity the access to water should be free of cost. It will improve health issues and poor people can afford to drink freely not worrying about it. Water pipelines should be changed when needed cause it can cause serious health issues.
On the other hand, the machinery used, the electricity it takes, fuel, dissel it costs alot as it is filtered daily. It's bill should be under government.
My conclusion to all this discssion is water should be free of cost as it is basic human right.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of free water. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention the importance of water for health and the economic burden on the poor, the arguments are repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the point about machinery and government costs is introduced late and is not fully integrated into the main argument. To reach a higher band, ensure each paragraph focuses on a distinct, well-supported point, such as the socio-economic benefits or the moral obligation of governments, rather than restating the same point multiple times.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'The reason to it is' or 'In my opnion'. The progression of ideas is sometimes disjointed, particularly in the transition between the health argument and the economic argument regarding government funding. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'nevertheless') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that connects logically to the previous one.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several spelling errors (e.g., 'beacause', 'opionion', 'strickness', 'neccessary', 'dissel') and some awkward collocations like 'strggled due to it'. The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, relying on basic terms. To improve, try to incorporate more academic collocations and ensure accurate spelling of common words. Using more sophisticated synonyms for 'free' or 'important' would also enhance the quality of your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Examples include 'I shall discuss in furthermore paragraph to why', 'Those who have survive gave birth to disable ones', and 'It's bill should be under government'. Subject-verb agreement and article usage (a/the) are inconsistent throughout the text. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like verb tense consistency and pluralization.
