Student answer (Band 6.5)
Access to clean water is considered a basic human right, It is essential for the health and daily life. According to my pinion i strongly agree with that access to clean water is a basic human right and that every appliance should receive a free water supply.
Firstly, clean water is necessary for human life. People needed it for drinking, clothing, bathing and maintaining proper hygiene. Without access to safe water, the risk of diseases such as cholera and typhoid increases. Poor families are often unable to afford water bills which can lead to serious health problem. Providing free water would improve public health and ensure that every enjoy a decent standard of living.
Secondly in this paragraph, access to free water can help to reduce poverty and improve equality. Water should not be treated a luxury because it is a basic need of peoples. If government provide free water, low level income families can sped their money on other essential expenses such as food, education and health care.
Some people argue that free water may lead to waste and increase government spending. However, can be reduce to a public awareness, free wate campaigns, water saving technology and proper management for water supply to every family. The importance of protecting public health is far greater than the financial cost.
In conclusion, I strongly agree that every household receive clean and free water because it is a fundamental right. Providing free water improves health life, reduce inequality and reduce health problems of the families.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position in favor of free water. The ideas are relevant, focusing on health, poverty reduction, and the counter-argument of waste. However, the development is somewhat limited; for instance, the suggestion to manage water waste through 'public awareness' and 'technology' is mentioned but not fully explored. The conclusion restates the position well, but the overall depth of the argument is consistent with a Band 6 level, as some points remain slightly under-developed or rely on general assertions rather than detailed analysis.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'In conclusion', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Secondly in this paragraph'. Additionally, there are instances where referencing is unclear or repetitive, such as the phrasing in the fourth paragraph regarding the counter-argument. While the overall progression is coherent, the use of cohesive devices is not always flexible or natural, placing it firmly in the Band 6 range.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the student to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at topic-specific vocabulary like 'fundamental right', 'standard of living', and 'public awareness'. However, there are several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'every appliance should receive' (instead of 'every household') and 'health life' (instead of 'healthier life'). These errors do not impede communication, but they demonstrate a limited range that prevents a higher score. More precise terminology would improve the quality of the argument.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('every enjoy', 'government provide') and article usage ('treated a luxury'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, such as the comma splice in the first sentence. While the student attempts complex structures, these are often marred by errors. The frequency of these errors is noticeable, but they do not prevent the reader from understanding the main points, which is characteristic of a Band 5.5 or 6.0 performance.
