Student answer (Band 6.5)
This essay discuss the most essential need of everyone's life. Water accessibility is a right of every human being. I will share reasons at the end of this essay why I prefer a balanced approach.
Overall, water plays most crucial part in our everyday life, without water we are unable to survive. It is used everywhere from household to offices and much more.
In most societies water is available in excessive amount, but they are paying a sharp amount in return of this facility. Although the water is paid, but they waste a lot of water which can be utilized in other effective ways instead of throwing it. For instance they can use it like for giving water to plants, for this they can make a way through extra water moves automatically to plants or their land.
Furthermore, if we look in some backward areas of our water is not available in their houses, if comes its a water that contain bad smell. If individuals uses this water in preparing food it leads to serious health issues. They have to travel to nearby water filters, carrying water coolers and bottles. Meanwhile for other household chores they use the dirty water because there's no other option left. They are also human's and a clean water supply is a basic human right.
To sum up, I hold the view that the Government should spend significantly for water availability, no matter a person belong to upper class or lower class, everyone can have this facility. A balanced approach is required to sort out these issues, and it must be free or charge or there's may be a very little cost so that peoples of lower class can easily afford. Its a health concern so it must be prioritized.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The essay addresses the prompt by discussing the importance of water and the government's role in its provision. However, the position is somewhat contradictory; the introduction mentions a 'balanced approach,' but the body paragraphs do not clearly define what this means until the very end. The ideas are relevant but lack depth. For example, the suggestion that people should use extra water for plants is a practical tip but does not directly address the core argument of whether water should be free. To improve, ensure your position is clearly stated in the introduction and consistently supported throughout the body paragraphs with more nuanced arguments regarding the economic and social implications of free water.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or inaccurate. For instance, the transition 'Although the water is paid, but they waste a lot of water' is grammatically incorrect and disrupts the flow. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'if comes its a water that contain bad smell,' where the subject is difficult to identify. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly enhance the logical flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on basic phrasing, such as 'most crucial part' and 'bad smell.' There are also some issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'paying a sharp amount' (should be 'high price') and 'peoples of lower class' (should be 'people from lower-income backgrounds'). To achieve a higher score, try to incorporate more academic collocations and precise terminology related to social policy and resource management, while ensuring that your word choices are natural and contextually appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('This essay discuss'), article usage ('a water that contain'), and sentence fragments ('if comes its a water'). While the meaning is generally clear, these errors are persistent throughout the text. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, particularly subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles. Additionally, try to vary your sentence structure by using more complex clauses correctly, ensuring that punctuation is used to separate ideas effectively.
