Student answer (Band 5.5)

With the basic human rights clean water is also concluded as human basic need so water supply to every home is needed and it cost them free and I agree with this statement.

The our country major population are poor and living in the remote villages so they don't have acess to clear water near by there home. For that they have to walk through out how harsh climate and miles to travel long distance for drinking and other household work. So it become necessary to have one clean water supply to every home because it is their basic human right and save them from travelling through bad wheather and walk long distances. With the growing world government should have to take responsibility to supply clean water it was additionally beneficial for both. It help to save people drink unhygienic unclean water.

for example : the people who are living in the slumps areas don't have acess to clean water so they have store water in huge vessels in their houses.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position in favor of free water supply. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention the hardships faced by people in remote areas and slums, the arguments are repetitive and lack depth. You touch upon the government's responsibility, but you do not explore the economic or practical implications of providing water 'free of charge,' which is a key part of the prompt. To reach a higher band, you should provide more nuanced reasoning, perhaps discussing the balance between human rights and the economic burden on the state, rather than simply restating the need for water.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow of ideas is often disjointed. The use of cohesive devices is very limited and sometimes mechanical, such as the repetitive use of 'so' and 'and'. The transition between the introduction, body, and conclusion is weak, and some sentences appear fragmented, particularly in the conclusion where the formatting is irregular. To improve, you should use a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'nevertheless') to connect your ideas more logically and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is basic and often repetitive. You rely on simple terms like 'clean water', 'basic human right', and 'remote villages' throughout the text. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'concluded as human basic need' (should be 'considered a basic human need') and 'slumps areas' (should be 'slum areas'). The vocabulary is sufficient to convey the general meaning, but it lacks the precision and variety required for higher bands. You should focus on learning topic-specific collocations and synonyms to avoid repeating the same phrases.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's understanding. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'it cost them free'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on or lack proper punctuation, making them difficult to parse. You rely almost exclusively on simple sentence structures; there is a lack of complex grammatical forms. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, including correct verb tenses and the use of articles, before attempting more complex structures.
