To begin with, one of the primary reasons is that water scarcity as only consumable water resorces available less than 08%. For example, governments have spend millons of funds to generate the clean water and send it to general public consumption. Consequently, it comes from tax payers money, and people need to pay for what they use for.
Furtheremore, another significant aspect to consider is public attitude towerds to the freely available goods. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The essay addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout, arguing that water should not be free. The ideas are relevant, focusing on scarcity and the need for responsible consumption. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding 'public unrest' is not clearly explained, and the link between paying for water and preventing agricultural misuse is underdeveloped. While the position is consistent, the supporting arguments would benefit from more depth and specific, real-world examples rather than general statements. The conclusion accurately reflects the main points, though it introduces a slight shift by suggesting 'minimum fees' rather than the 'not free' stance established in the introduction.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'For example', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where referencing is unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the connection between 'tax payers money' and the conclusion is slightly abrupt. Paragraphing is used appropriately, but the transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs could be smoother to enhance the overall progression of ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'water scarcity' and 'consumable water resources'. However, there are several spelling errors ('resorces', 'millons', 'towerds', 'instence', 'dirnking', 'resoun', 'dirkable') and awkward collocations ('generate the clean water', 'minimum fess'). These errors occasionally distract the reader, though they do not prevent the message from being understood. A wider range of precise vocabulary would help elevate the score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there is a high frequency of grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include missing articles ('question of whether', 'for all the human being'), incorrect verb forms ('people need to used'), and subject-verb agreement errors ('governments have spend'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with commas. While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar and sentence construction limit the score. To improve, the student should focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and article usage.
