Student answer (Band 5.5)
Water is one of the basic needs of every human that is why, it is right of every individual to have an access to a safety water to drink. I do believe that it is
the duty of the government to provide this need to its people to make the community healthy and productive to live on.
Water is very useful to our daily life, it not only use for drinking but we also use it for cooking our foods, clean our body for hygienic purposes , and wash our dishes and clothes. Some business facilities such as restaurants, hospitals, used water to run their business.
Water supply is limited to sources especially to other countries which has no water table tom its ground. In order to provide it, the government needs big budget for the completion of the project. Moreover, It needs funds for the labor, pipes and the maintenance of the water supply.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you establish a clear position, the essay is incomplete, ending abruptly in the conclusion. The arguments regarding the necessity of government funding and the benefits of charging for water are relevant, but they lack sufficient depth and supporting examples. To improve, you must ensure you fully develop your points and complete the essay structure. The under-length nature of the response prevents a higher score as the task is not fully addressed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your logic. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Therefore', and 'Aside from that' to link ideas. However, the progression is interrupted by the incomplete conclusion. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'sources especially to other countries which has no water table tom its ground'. Improving the flow between sentences and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it is somewhat repetitive and lacks precision. You use basic terms like 'useful' and 'big budget'. There are also some awkward collocations and word choice errors, such as 'access to a safety water' (should be 'safe water') and 'tom its ground' (likely a typo for 'in its ground'). To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'infrastructure', 'sustainability', or 'financial burden'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'Water is one of the basic needs... that is why, it is right of every individual to have an access' (incorrect article usage and punctuation) and 'Some business facilities... used water' (tense inconsistency). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma placement. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles will help improve your accuracy.
