Student answer (Band 5.5)
For ages, humans have been working hard to earn money to fulfil their basic needs like high-quality of food, a better place to live and clean water for their daily consumption. Nowadays, filtered water is being provided by the government in many countries and they usually take some amount for it in the form of monthly bills. However, filtered and clean water should be available to all the regions of the world at no cost and I strongly agree with the notion for some reasons.
Initially, clean water is a basic need for each human being because of its advantages for human health and its is also used for household purposes like washing dishes and for taking a bath etc. However, drinking water is its main purpose because our body need a certain amount of water every day. Without it, we may suffer from serious health problems. For example, in recent research, clean water has been declared a basic need for human organs especially for kidneys which filter our blood but mostly its failure is causing by bad water.
Secondly, free supply of clean water can reduce the financial burden on a middle class family because in this period of inflation where our state applied taxes on everything and promised to provide basic facilities to the tax payers. So, they need to develop infrastructure to provide filtered water in remote areas as well. For instance, in developed countries, local authorities developed these systems in all the regions of their country where even the poor can access clean water for free of charges.
In conclusion, I reach to this point that access to the clean water is a basic human need so the local governments should start implementing these systems without any cost.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
You have clearly stated your position and addressed the prompt by discussing both the health benefits and the economic implications of free water. The ideas are relevant and generally well-developed. However, the argument could be strengthened by acknowledging the potential counter-arguments, such as the economic feasibility or the risk of water wastage if it is provided entirely free of charge. To reach a higher band, ensure that your supporting examples are more specific; for instance, instead of mentioning 'developed countries' in general, you could briefly explain how a specific model of water management functions to support your point.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use transition signals such as 'Initially', 'Secondly', and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, some cohesive devices are used in a slightly mechanical way, and there are minor issues with referencing and flow. For example, the phrase 'I reach to this point that' is not a standard way to introduce a conclusion. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'consumption', 'infrastructure', and 'financial burden' appropriately. There are some minor inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'mostly its failure is causing by bad water' (should be 'caused by') and 'free of charges' (should be 'free of charge'). While your vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly, incorporating more precise academic collocations and less common lexical items would help you achieve a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include 'high-quality of food' (should be 'high-quality food'), 'our body need' (should be 'our body needs'), and 'in this period of inflation where our state applied taxes' (should be 'applies taxes'). Additionally, there are some punctuation and article usage errors. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles, as these errors occur throughout the text.
