Student answer (Band 5.0)
Clean water is a basic need of human being in current time and its access should make possible to everyone without any cost.
In this essay, I would like to talk about clean water and also draw a conclusion as well.
Clean water is very crucial for modern human beings but its availability shows dramatic danger for the people on the earth. Furthermore, people face difficulty in the access of clean water due to their own useless behaviours. They waste this precious water very badly and have no thinking about its future results.
The earth has very short reserves of water and also have many other problems, despite these problems there should be make sure of water to everyone. Clean water is vital for household usage, cooking purposes and also for bathing. Despite this usage, people have no facility of clean water on earth. The government should provide this facility to the people because it is the one of the most basic needs of the people.
There are also some other reasons which become hurdles in the supply of clean water, these are: some people are living in the remote areas, others have houses on the hills.
I am agreed with this statement because without water men are nothing. In addition, water is a basic need for human right. Everyone should have access to this blessing of Allah Almighty.
In a nutshell, short reserves of water are present on the earth. Everyone should make sure its positive used because it is the surety of their life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position on the provision of free water. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention that water is a basic right and suggest government intervention, the arguments lack depth and supporting evidence. For instance, you mention 'useless behaviours' and 'remote areas' as hurdles, but these points are not fully explored or linked back to the core argument of whether water should be free. To improve, you should provide specific examples or logical consequences of free water provision, such as the economic impact or the potential for waste if there is no cost, to create a more balanced and persuasive essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is somewhat disjointed. You use some cohesive devices like 'Furthermore' and 'In a nutshell', but they are occasionally used mechanically or inappropriately. The transition between the problem of water scarcity and the argument for government-provided free water is abrupt. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear; for example, the phrase 'despite these problems there should be make sure of water to everyone' is syntactically confusing, which hinders the flow of your argument. Improving the use of linking words to show clear logical relationships between sentences would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but remains quite basic and repetitive. You rely on simple terms like 'basic need', 'very crucial', and 'very badly'. There are also some awkward collocations and word choices, such as 'make sure of water' instead of 'ensure the provision of water' and 'positive used' instead of 'positive usage' or 'sustainable consumption'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to incorporate more precise, topic-specific vocabulary related to resource management, public policy, and socio-economic issues, and work on using words in their correct grammatical forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('the earth... have many other problems'), incorrect preposition usage ('access of clean water' instead of 'access to'), and awkward sentence construction ('there should be make sure of water to everyone'). Punctuation is generally functional, but the sentence structure often feels fragmented. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence patterns and ensuring that subjects and verbs agree, while gradually introducing more complex structures like conditional sentences or relative clauses to demonstrate greater control.
