Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of free water supply. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention health benefits and economic savings, the arguments are somewhat repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the point about Karachi is a relevant example, but it is not fully integrated into a broader discussion of the economic or social implications of universal free water. To improve, you should aim to expand on your points with more sophisticated reasoning, such as discussing the role of government infrastructure or the potential trade-offs of such a policy, rather than focusing primarily on basic survival and household chores.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is hindered by frequent errors in sentence structure and cohesion. While you use some linking words like 'Firstly' and 'To pen down', the transitions between ideas are often abrupt or confusing. The referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the sentence 'Peoples are healthy that in return are helpful for society', where the connection between the clauses is weak. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks the necessary flow to guide the reader smoothly through your argument. Improving the use of cohesive devices and ensuring clear topic sentences would significantly enhance the readability.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally basic and repetitive. You rely on simple terms like 'clean water', 'free', and 'survival' throughout the text. There are also several spelling errors, such as 'mendatory' (mandatory), 'prominant' (prominent), 'servive' (survive), and 'Diarrohea' (diarrhea). Furthermore, there are issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'water are not available' and 'using unwanted water'. To reach a higher band, you need to demonstrate a wider range of vocabulary, including less common lexical items related to the topic, and ensure that your spelling and word formation are accurate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement ('water are not available', 'immune system become disturbed'), article usage, and pluralization ('lives of peoples', 'there immune system'). The sentence structures are mostly simple, and attempts at more complex sentences often result in errors, such as 'Peoples are healthy that in return are helpful for society'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the placement of commas and spaces. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles and prepositions.
