Student answer (Band 6.0)
I strongly agree with the statement, it is a fundamental right of every individual to get the authentic water so in the same way it should be provided without any cost to each and every house. A school of thought favors the statement. However, others have their own perspective. This essay would shed light on both aspects and the reasons for the same will be elaborated in subsequent paragraphs.
One of the most significant contributions of supplying water will solve many health problems. Elements present in water will lead to the developments of physical well being, cognitive abilities, and progressive enhancement in immune system. For example, water coming from mountains have the metal called zinc which is really conducive for the body that can solve main internal diseases. Therefore, that challenge will get solved through supply of clean water to the citizens.
Furthermore, it will eliminate the disparity between two living standards. Advances in water production and packaging with high cost created a difference between rich and poor community. A survey was conducted in united states has its finding published in renowned journal that 90% of rich people are drinking water by purchasing it on huge cost, while poor are still struggling to get pure form of water. so this difference will be covered, if clean will be accessible to everyone without any cost.
However, other individuals thinks in different direction that water will get exhaust very soon if it will be supplied open to everyone because in the current society people are already struggling to fetch good quality water. For instance, increase in green house gases have detrimental effect on our surroundings, we all are facing shortage of water owing to this problem.
To conclude, although group of people have some doubts of exhausting the water on full scale, I firmly believe that the water should be assessed by everyone without any cost then only our society will become better place to live in.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. The argument regarding health benefits is supported by a specific example, though the claim about zinc in mountain water is scientifically questionable and lacks nuance. The second body paragraph attempts to discuss the disparity between rich and poor but relies on a vague reference to a survey. The counter-argument is introduced but remains underdeveloped, as it does not fully engage with the economic or logistical implications of 'free' water. To reach a higher band, you should provide more logical, evidence-based reasoning for your claims rather than relying on generalisations.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Furthermore', 'However', and 'To conclude', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'in the same way it should be provided'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly in the third paragraph where the connection between the survey and the conclusion is abrupt. The flow between sentences is generally functional, but the essay would benefit from a more sophisticated use of cohesive links to improve the overall logical progression.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. There are several instances of awkward word choices, such as 'authentic water' instead of 'clean' or 'potable water', and 'on huge cost' instead of 'at a high cost'. Phrases like 'progressive enhancement in immune system' and 'water will get exhaust' show a limited grasp of natural collocations and grammatical word forms. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of variety and occasional inaccuracies in word choice prevent the response from reaching a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('other individuals thinks'), incorrect article usage ('in united states'), and awkward phrasing ('water should be assessed by everyone'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent throughout the text. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically verb tense consistency and the correct use of articles and prepositions, before attempting more complex structures.
