Student answer (Band 6.0)
Since the water becomes necessary component of people's life it plays vital role in everyone's life. However, experts stated that utilisation of purified water is a fundamental necessity for one's. Henceforth, water should be supplied to each citizen without charging a single penny. I completely agree with this given notion. The reasons will be elucidated in the ensuing paragraphs.
To commence, the survival of human beings without water is impossible. Especially, the water needs to be delivered in purified form and which contains required PH level for human body. This is because, water has been playing important role in immune system to digest food and prevent from acidic substances. Apart from this, there are considerable ailments proliferating globally owing to unpurified water consumption. The best illustration of this is, Cholera disorder, the symptoms of this illness are skin burning and failing digestion of food. Consequently, individuals can be seen to skip their meals and end ups in severe death.
Apperantaly, to provide a crystal clear water to each consumer, at free of cost, is a big challenge for governments. As the deployment of water from river or pond to the resident requires under constructed pipeline. In addition to this, to alleviate the impurities from natural reserved water which also demands huge water pumps, plethora of energy, and countless filters. All in all, significant efforts and budget mandatory for government to provide clean water to all which is daunting task. For example, India, has a 1.5 billion population thus it is impossible to supply clean water to each citizen for government of India.
In conclusion, after analysing importance of water in one's life, water should be either cleaned by them own or water meters should be launched by governments at cheapest price to cope with this concern. Ultimately, water supply is human rights hence it should be supplied to every habitat.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You clearly state your position in the introduction and maintain it throughout the essay. You address the prompt by discussing the necessity of water and the practical challenges of providing it for free. However, the development of ideas is somewhat inconsistent. While you provide a relevant example regarding the challenges in India, the conclusion contradicts your initial stance by suggesting that people should clean water themselves or pay for it via meters. This shift undermines your argument and makes your position less clear by the end of the essay. To improve, ensure your conclusion reinforces your original thesis rather than introducing new, conflicting solutions.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To commence', 'Apart from this', and 'In conclusion' to signal the structure. However, some transitions are awkward or misused, such as 'Henceforth' (which usually refers to time) and 'Apperantaly' (a misspelling of 'Apparently'). Additionally, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the link between 'Cholera' and 'severe death' is abrupt. Improving the variety and accuracy of your linking words will help the ideas flow more naturally.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'utilisation', 'proliferating', and 'daunting task'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'end ups in severe death' instead of 'result in fatalities', and 'under constructed pipeline' instead of 'infrastructure'. There are also spelling errors like 'Apperantaly' and 'habitat' (used incorrectly to mean 'inhabitant'). To reach a higher band, focus on using collocations more accurately and ensure that your vocabulary choices are appropriate for a formal academic context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'Since the water becomes necessary component' (missing articles), 'prevent from acidic substances' (incorrect preposition), and 'budget mandatory for government' (missing verb). There are also issues with subject-verb agreement and sentence fragments. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction, particularly the use of articles and prepositions, before attempting more complex structures.
