Student answer (Band 5.0)
in the modern era it is argued that the purified water is a need and right of every individual without charges supply of water is also their right i agree with this and also share my opinion in this essay
my primary reason is that water is very important for survival and to live a life without any disease because water is one of the things which every one drinks if it is not purified then it cause many kind of disease in public and it is a responsibility of government to cause awareness to drink a pure water because the unpurified water cause serious disease in our body
the other reason is that water is used in different industries for manufacture of many things which are used in our daily life routine if the water is not pure it cause many type of bacteria in these things so this is very important thing to supply pure water to every home without any charges due to charges many people cannot afford the water i argue to government to make a water plants at public places
in conclusion i agree with this that access of purified water is basic right foe everyone and water should be provided without any charges because water is a common solvent which should be drunk by every one if it is not purified it cause number of diseases in human body and secondly is that the water is a liquid which is used is daily life use products it cause bacteria in it .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of free water supply. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention health and industrial hygiene, the arguments are repetitive and lack depth or specific examples. The essay would benefit from exploring the economic implications of 'free' water or the role of government infrastructure in more detail. The conclusion restates the main points but does not add any new insight. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a distinct, well-supported argument rather than repeating the same points about disease and bacteria.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow between and within them is mechanical. There is a lack of cohesive devices (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in addition') to link ideas logically. The sentences are often run-on or lack clear transitions, making the progression of thought feel repetitive. For instance, the transition between the health argument and the industrial argument is abrupt. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each sentence logically follows the previous one will significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is basic and repetitive. Words like 'water', 'pure', 'disease', and 'charges' are used frequently without variation. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'cause awareness' (should be 'raise awareness') and 'make a water plants' (should be 'build water treatment plants'). The range of vocabulary is limited, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas precisely. You should aim to incorporate more academic synonyms and collocations to demonstrate a wider range of language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. There is a lack of complex grammatical forms, and punctuation is largely absent, which makes the text difficult to read. Frequent errors in subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'it cause many kind of disease') and article usage (e.g., 'the purified water is a need') are present throughout. The lack of capitalization at the start of sentences and the absence of commas hinder the clarity of your writing. Focusing on sentence variety and mastering basic punctuation will help improve your score in this area.
