Student answer (Band 5.5)

In the modern world, human right access to clean water in every home, and government should provide clean water free of charge in all country home. In this essay, I will discuss the views and give my opinion with some suitable examples.

On the one hand, the first benefits of clean water are essential for everyone in life. The human body need at least 8 glasses in every signal day because all body parts use water and without water they do not survive. Moreover, in many country governments supplies limited water therefore body do not work properly and suffer from disease. For example, In India many cities face the problems of clean water supply and use the only 1 glass water and body need 8 glasses then body does not survive and discover the numbers of diseases.

On the other hand, the second advantages of clean water body grow very well. When peoples use clean water, they live a long time in world and do to everything very well. When government supply clean water free of charge then everybody uses the clean water and do not face water problems. Some poor families do not afford to purchase the clean water and only use the dirty water which do not best for human body. In many countries unemployment on the top therefore people use the malleable water. For instance, the urban areas people use the clean water and do not suffer from disease and do not spend money on water but city areas people basically use the dirty water and mostly suffer from diseases.

In conclusion, access to clean water is a basic human right for surviving in life. I am agree with that when government supply the clean water free of charge then everyone use the clean water and do not face the water related problems.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of free water supply. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention health benefits and the inability of the poor to afford water, the arguments are repetitive and lack depth. The examples provided, such as the claim about '1 glass of water' in India, are not well-supported and feel somewhat anecdotal or inaccurate. To improve, you should focus on developing your arguments with more logical reasoning and clearer, more realistic examples. The essay covers the main points but lacks the sophistication required for a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, phrases like 'the first benefits' and 'the second advantages' are used in a way that feels unnatural. Additionally, the transition between ideas within paragraphs is sometimes abrupt, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the confusion between 'urban' and 'city' areas in the second body paragraph. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words will help the flow of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. You frequently use basic terms like 'clean water', 'body', and 'disease'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'malleable water' (which is incorrect in this context) and 'do to everything very well'. The range of vocabulary is sufficient to communicate your basic meaning, but it lacks the precision and flexibility needed to discuss the topic in an academic manner. You should aim to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary and synonyms to avoid repetition.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the essay, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('human body need', 'governments supplies'), article usage ('in all country home'), and sentence structure. While you attempt some complex sentences, they are often faulty, which can make the text difficult to follow. The errors are noticeable and occur in almost every sentence, which impacts the clarity of your message. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement and pluralization would significantly improve your score.
