Student answer (Band 5.0)

In this contemporary epoch tere is no denying tha fact that water hold a paramount significance in our life so it is believed bye some people that purifier water is normal need for prople and that way every home government provide free of cost water however I disagree withe tha given statement.

Admittedly first and foremost werkers people becouse most of the people work to tha clean water factory and government pay to salary every month this people that way government not provided free water. Apart from this electricity becouse every water splay is only duo to eclectic mashins and government us very amount of electricity for provide every people home water and thats way government every month charge water billis for example a survey conducted by oxfort university also indicated that america government e every month chagre very High amount of bills every people home becouse america government provide 24 hours water splay.

However, it's predominantly fact is that waleyu becouse government provide free water and not chagre money than is it very humfull effect should for tha society. While most of that unakucated people not perfect weleyou of that water as well as most of that people very safely us for water and not waste water becouse government chagre bills for high us of water to instances a report bye time of india also revealed that india old family just like village family never respect water becouse village side government not change bills and that way every month 40 % water vest to the village side.

In conclusion i would reiterate that although tere are few disadvantage is this scenario such as waleyu yet, however it's advantage are more than such as employee salary and electricity charges.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against free water supply. However, the development of ideas is significantly hindered by unclear expression and logical gaps. For example, the argument regarding 'workers' and 'electricity' is difficult to follow due to poor phrasing, making it hard to discern the underlying logic. While the essay attempts to provide reasons, the lack of clarity in the supporting arguments means the task is only partially addressed. The ideas are present but remain underdeveloped and often confusing, which limits the score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the flow of ideas is frequently interrupted by confusing sentence structures and a lack of logical transitions. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Admittedly', 'Apart from this', and 'In conclusion', but they are often applied mechanically or incorrectly, failing to link ideas smoothly. The referencing is sometimes unclear, and the progression of arguments is disjointed. The reader often has to re-read sentences to understand the intended meaning, which indicates that the organisation is not yet effective enough for a higher band.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and contains frequent errors in word choice and spelling that occasionally impede communication. Examples include 'werkers' for workers, 'eclectic mashins' for electric machines, 'splay' for supply, and 'vest' for waste. The student struggles to use precise terminology related to the topic, relying on repetitive and inaccurate phrasing. While the meaning can usually be inferred, the high frequency of errors and the lack of a sufficient range of vocabulary to express complex ideas clearly prevent a higher score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The response shows a very limited range of grammatical structures, and the majority of sentences contain significant errors. There are frequent issues with subject-verb agreement, article usage, and sentence construction (e.g., 'government us very amount of electricity'). Punctuation is also problematic, with many run-on sentences and a lack of appropriate clause boundaries. While the student attempts to use complex structures, these are almost always faulty, leading to frequent errors that cause difficulty for the reader. The control of basic grammar is not yet consistent.
