Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a position, but the development is inconsistent. While you argue that water should be free, the third paragraph discusses government projects and metering systems, which actually contradicts the idea of 'free' supply. The argument lacks depth; for instance, you mention that government failure to provide free water should have no justification, but you do not explore the economic or logistical complexities of such a policy. To improve, ensure your supporting points directly reinforce your thesis throughout the essay. The conclusion is also missing, leaving the argument unresolved.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow is often disrupted by awkward transitions and unclear referencing. For example, the phrase 'instead of difficult situation' in the first paragraph is confusing and does not connect well to the previous sentence. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the other hand' and 'Moreover', but they are sometimes used inappropriately or mechanically. The progression of ideas is hindered by sentences that do not clearly link to the central argument, making the overall structure feel somewhat disjointed.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. There are several instances of unnatural phrasing, such as 'human beings theirselves' (themselves) and 'various health issues may create' (may arise/be caused). You rely on basic vocabulary like 'good', 'better', and 'big'. To achieve a higher score, focus on using more sophisticated collocations and precise terminology related to public policy and environmental issues, while ensuring that word forms are used correctly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('there are so many problems that has bee created'), article usage ('the clean water'), and awkward sentence construction ('One the the most precious right is availability'). While you attempt some complex structures, they are often marred by errors. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence patterns and proofreading for common slips like pluralization and verb tense consistency before attempting more complex, multi-clause sentences.
