Student answer (Band 5.5)
Approach to clean water is a basic need to every human and it is basic requirement in their life. i agree about this statement because now a day clean water is important for human health, now a days many industries are build which release many harmful chemicals which they go in the drainage system of industries and absorb in the ground which pollute the water.
This pollutes the water which is consumes by human and other living organisms which cause many series health problems and different diseases. Water is also a loving thing they also important role in the metabolic system of human during eating. In city sides water are more polluted than village sides.
i have many examples regarding this topic but i explain only one. The government in our country have taken many steps towards cleaning water they launch many public schemes in cites as well as village side to build a new water filtration plant, which provides clean water free of cost in village side but in city sides they charge some money in the form water bill. So, i think water should be completely free in every home, without any cost, so it is good for people which serving in many diseases.
In conclusions, water is a basic human need and also very good source to avoid disease, so i think it good to be a totally free for every home where they people can access this easily, in developed countries everywhere water filtration plant installed where people can easily access to this valuable thing .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of free water. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention industrial pollution and health, the arguments are somewhat repetitive and lack depth. The example provided regarding your country's water filtration schemes is relevant but could be more effectively linked to the broader economic or social implications of providing free water. To improve, ensure that each paragraph introduces a distinct, well-supported point rather than restating the same general idea. The conclusion is present but does not fully synthesize the arguments presented.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For instance, the transition 'Water is also a loving thing' is confusing and does not logically connect to the previous sentence. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as the use of 'they' without a clear antecedent. While there is a logical progression from the problem (pollution) to the solution (government schemes), the flow between sentences is often disjointed, which hinders the overall readability of the response.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. You rely on basic terms like 'good', 'important', and 'things'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'loving thing' instead of 'essential element' or 'metabolic system', and 'city sides' instead of 'urban areas'. Some phrases are awkward, such as 'people which serving in many diseases'. To reach a higher band, you need to use a wider range of vocabulary, including less common items and more precise collocations related to environmental and social issues.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'many industries are build', 'water are more polluted'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on or lack proper punctuation, making them difficult to parse. While there is an attempt at complex structures, they are often faulty. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that subjects and verbs agree and that clauses are correctly linked with appropriate conjunctions.
