Task 2
Being provided with clean water is a basic human right. Therefore, everyone should have a water facility that is free. On one hand people agree that access to clean water is a basic human right on the other hand people disagree that access to clean water is a basic human right. I believe that access to clean water is a basic human right.
On one hand many people agree that access to clean water is a basic human right because clean water is very essential for every person of the country and is a basic human right. Clean water is necessary for people to survive for example drinking clean water will help them stay fit and healthy without leading them to severe health diseases.
On the other hand many people disagree that access to clean water is a basic human right because without clean water people can also survive with the low quality or hard water. Furthermore, people should not think that access to clean water is a basic human right.
I believe that access to clean water is a basic human right. As water plays an importent role in our daily lives for example cooking food, washing clothes, taking shower etc. If we use dirty water in our daily lives we will be affected by many diseases and can even be led to loss of lives.
Ultimately, access to clean water is a basic human right. Clean water will help every person to live a better life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt, but the development of ideas is superficial and repetitive. While you state your position clearly, the arguments provided are simplistic. For example, the paragraph arguing against the provision of free water lacks logical depth, merely suggesting that people can survive on 'low quality' water, which is not a well-supported or convincing argument. To improve, you need to extend your ideas by explaining the economic or social implications of free water, rather than repeating the same points about health and basic rights throughout the essay. The conclusion does not add any new insight or summarize the arguments effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is mechanical and repetitive. You rely heavily on basic transition phrases like 'On one hand' and 'On the other hand,' which are used incorrectly here as they do not introduce contrasting viewpoints in a meaningful way. The referencing is sometimes unclear, and the flow between sentences is disjointed. To achieve a higher band, you should use a wider variety of cohesive devices (e.g., 'consequently,' 'furthermore,' 'in light of this') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, distinct focus that builds upon the previous one.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. You frequently use the same phrases, such as 'access to clean water is a basic human right,' which appears almost verbatim in every paragraph. This lack of lexical variety hinders the sophistication of your argument. There are also minor errors in word choice, such as 'importent' (spelling) and 'led to loss of lives,' which sounds unnatural. To improve, try to use synonyms and more precise academic vocabulary to express your ideas, and avoid repeating the exact wording of the prompt throughout your response.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. For instance, 'without leading them to severe health diseases' is awkward, and 'people can also survive with the low quality or hard water' lacks precision. There are also punctuation issues and minor errors in sentence construction. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on improving your control over sentence structure and ensuring subject-verb agreement and correct preposition usage.
