Student answer (Band 5.5)
There are numerous adequate gifts for the human from the God. Water is the one of the most rich from allover. Every household have free access of water for their regular usage. I totally agree with this.
Water plays the crucial role in the Human daily life.
It is used in drinking, cleaning, bathing, and for other works also. Water is essential to live and for the daily household chores. Everyone have the right to use clean water and it should be the government responsibility to provide hygienic water resources to each area and house.
For instance, water came from natural resources such as rain, lakes come into rivers and the government should make dams to store that natural water for the normal use.
Moreover, every person pays taxes to the government, so its primary responsibility to provide basic needs to their people which is also helpful for the development of the society and country. There are plethora of the areas in Pakistan in which there is no supply of clean water to houses and even in the villages. People went to other areas for the usage of water for their daily life.
For example, in Pakistan rural areas such as Sukkur,
DG khan, Balochistan , and many others areas and cities don't have clean water for drinking.
In conclusion, in my perspective it should be the government responsibility to provide free water supply to each home, as they collect taxes and basic needs of the individuals is the key responsibility of the Government for the positive development of the country.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of free water supply. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention the government's responsibility and the role of taxes, the arguments remain somewhat superficial. The examples provided, such as mentioning specific regions in Pakistan, are relevant but could be better integrated to support the main argument regarding the economic or social implications of free water. To improve, focus on expanding your reasoning—for example, by discussing the potential impact on public health or the economic challenges governments might face in implementing such a policy.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the progression of ideas is sometimes disjointed. The use of cohesive devices is basic and occasionally repetitive (e.g., 'For instance', 'For example', 'Moreover'). Some sentences feel disconnected, and the transition between the general argument and the specific examples could be smoother. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly enhance the flow and logical progression of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on simple, repetitive phrasing such as 'regular usage', 'daily life', and 'basic needs'. There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'adequate gifts for the human from the God' and 'most rich from allover'. To achieve a higher score, try to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary related to social policy, infrastructure, and economics, and ensure that your word choices are natural and contextually appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('Every household have', 'Everyone have'), article usage ('the God', 'the government responsibility'), and sentence structure. While the meaning is generally clear, these errors are persistent and affect the overall fluency of the essay. You rely mostly on simple sentence structures. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and article rules, and practice incorporating more complex sentence structures, such as conditional sentences or relative clauses, to demonstrate greater grammatical control.
