Student answer (Band 5.5)
Water is not essential for humans but also play a vital role in other living creatures life. But the humans when drink the water when it is clean and safe for drinking propose. I partially agree with this statement.
Firstly, the water plays a vital role in individuals life, and it is government responsibility to supply the water free of cost because it is human necessity. Without water. The human life is incomplete. As it is used in our daily life, like bathing, washing clothes and preparing food for consumption. Moreover, In some areas the water contains various diseases which makes water unsafe for drinking. Due to which many individuals who consume infected water fell sick . So, the clean water is basic human right.
Secondly, the water is limited resource on earth as the percentage of salt water is much higher than fresh drinking water. Moreover, In countries specially in India , people waste a lot of water. For instance, IN 20206, citizens of Mumbai doesn't have enough drinking water due to which all people are demanding for safe drinking water and appropriate supply of water fit for drinking. The shortage of water was result of the immense wastage done by mankind.
In Conclusion, I think that all people have the right to drink clean water so it should be supply free of cost by which all humans can be safe from diseases. It is our responsibility to use the water in a limited range and save it for our future generations.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position, though the development of ideas is somewhat limited. You mention that water is a human right and a government responsibility, and you touch upon the issue of scarcity. However, the argument regarding 'free of charge' is not fully explored; you do not address the economic implications or the potential for wastage if water were free, which would have strengthened your position. The introduction is slightly confusing, as the opening sentence contradicts the premise of the prompt. To improve, ensure your main ideas are fully extended with logical reasoning rather than just stating them.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices like 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'In conclusion' to signal the progression of your argument. However, the flow within paragraphs is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing and repetitive sentence structures. For example, the transition between the importance of water and the issue of disease is a bit abrupt. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the use of 'Due to which' at the start of a sentence, which is grammatically incorrect and disrupts the logical flow. More varied linking words would improve the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. You use some relevant terms like 'consumption', 'infected', and 'scarcity' (implied), but there are also instances of word-choice errors, such as 'drinking propose' instead of 'drinking purposes' and 'limited range' instead of 'limited supply'. Some phrasing is repetitive, particularly the frequent use of 'water'. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more sophisticated collocations and avoid basic errors in word form and usage.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'Water is not essential for humans but also play a vital role' (subject-verb agreement), 'The human life is incomplete' (article usage), and 'citizens of Mumbai doesn't have' (subject-verb agreement). Punctuation is also problematic, with several sentence fragments and unnecessary full stops. While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevent the writing from reaching a higher level of fluency and accuracy.
