Student answer (Band 5.0)
In this modern society, a clean water is a healthy water and its a primary right of every individual in this world.although, every house have a water supply that is free of cost is a great development for providing the best decision to the peoples by government.i completely agree with this statement, many people who are not finding a clean water is using dirty and contaminated water from rivers or lakes and by drinking that water their are getting numerous health issues .to overcome with this type of conditions government should impose a free of cost plan on water.this can litreally saves the lifes of many peoples of the world and can increase clean and healthy drinkable water for daily use.moreover, the clean water is also beneficial for many animals and plats to protect the ecosystem of country.
for instance,a clean water is drunk by many peoples and because of that their health is improving and getting less or no infections in their bodies.many plants are also effected by polluted water so by having this clean water they can become more healthy and strong.in previous years peoples are drinking that contaminated water that consists of soil impurities and bacteria these type of water is effected badly to their overall health .the reason was for drinking that spoiled water is known that the clean water which is available on public places or roads are costly.
in conclusion,i belive that government should address this problem and make water easier and affordable for every
person.this can significantly improve their lifestyle aswell as country's greater development.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of free water supply. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention health benefits and ecosystem protection, the arguments are repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the point about animals and plants is mentioned but not logically connected to the core argument of government-provided free water. To improve, you should focus on developing two or three strong, distinct arguments—such as public health outcomes or economic equity—and provide more specific, logical examples to support them rather than repeating the same points about 'dirty water' and 'health issues'.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is often disjointed. The use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes inaccurate, such as starting sentences with 'although' or 'for instance' in ways that do not logically link to the preceding text. Referencing is also unclear at times, particularly with the use of 'these type of water' and 'that contaminated water'. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks a clear flow, making it difficult for the reader to follow the development of your argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, often relying on basic terms like 'clean water', 'healthy', and 'badly'. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'a clean water is a healthy water', 'overcome with this type of conditions', and 'plants are also effected'. The word 'effected' is used incorrectly instead of 'affected'. To reach a higher band, you need to demonstrate a wider range of vocabulary and use it with greater precision, avoiding the constant repetition of the same phrases throughout the essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('every house have', 'peoples are drinking'), article usage ('a clean water'), and punctuation (missing spaces after commas and periods). Sentence structures are mostly simple or contain errors when attempting complexity. For example, 'many people who are not finding a clean water is using...' contains multiple errors in tense and agreement. These errors are frequent and occasionally impede the flow of reading. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would significantly improve your score.
