Student answer (Band 5.5)

Individuals has a basic right of approach of clean and fresh water in free of charge. I discord with this view point because nobody gives value to it and due to shortage of water on the earth.

One the major reason for my disapproval of this view point is that nobody gives value to water. This is due to fact that when someone gets anything in free then they cannot understand their value. Whereas, people waste it more rather then using it. For instance, a study conducted by human resource department has approved that people cannot sustain the water if it gets free due to its positive outcomes for people and society. Therefore, for our better future the water will not be free of cost because it will shows its side effects in the society.

Another worth considering reason for my disagreement is that only 2 percent water remains fresh for the use on the earth. To elaborate, if citizens get water free of cost then water will not get sustained for the upcoming generation. World will face the problem of deficiency of water. If sustainable development of water boost up in the society, it can benefit the people.

To conclude, it is clear from the above mentioned points that the idea of sustainable development of water seems practical and can bring prosperity for the society and people. Therefore, it would be wise to accept this idea and promote it. It will affect the society in various ways and also brings good outcomes in the nature.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention the 'value' of water and 'sustainability,' the arguments are repetitive and lack specific, real-world examples. For instance, the reference to a 'human resource department' study is vague and does not effectively support your point. To improve, ensure that your supporting arguments are more detailed and logically connected to the core issue of whether water should be free. The conclusion is a bit generic and does not fully synthesize the points made in the body paragraphs.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'To elaborate,' 'Therefore,' and 'To conclude,' but these are sometimes used mechanically or inappropriately. For example, the transition 'Whereas, people waste it more rather then using it' is grammatically awkward and disrupts the flow. Additionally, the logical progression between sentences is occasionally hindered by unclear referencing, such as the vague mention of 'sustainable development of water' which is not clearly defined in the context of the argument. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words would enhance the overall flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. There are several instances of awkward collocations and word choice errors, such as 'approach of clean and fresh water' instead of 'access to,' and 'discord with this view point' instead of 'disagree with this viewpoint.' You rely on basic vocabulary and repeat terms like 'value' and 'society' frequently. To achieve a higher score, focus on using more sophisticated academic vocabulary and ensuring that words are used in their correct collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'Individuals has a basic right' (subject-verb agreement), 'in free of charge' (preposition error), and 'it will shows its side effects' (verb form error). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are issues with sentence boundaries and word order. While the meaning is usually clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and correct preposition usage.
