Student answer (Band 6.0)
Every household should get water supply for free of cost, and it is basic human right to approach to the clean water. I would agree to these statement.
To begin with, water is the basic component that all human body cells required to function. It is very important, that all the houses should get clean water supply from municipality. It would be helpful for all the citizens to protect themselves from different disease, that can get from contagious water. In developing countries, it is not mandatory to pay cost of water usage unlike developed countries, because if they start doing it not everyone can afford it.
Additionally, activities related to the water start price up if there is charge for water usage. Developing countries, there are free water supply people can find in various places, it would be after if we put money for it. For example, there are the places people can find drinking water tank attached with tap that any thirsty person can use it. After, introducing charge for water not anybody can stop there and use it.
On the other side, it is helpful to handle water carefully if we charge money for it. For example, there is water wastage we can notice in some neighbor hood, if we start fees for water usage people stop wasting it. In addition to this, people start to value the water, because they are paying for it.
In conclusion, I believe that it is not fair for the people to pay money for the basic need such as water. Water is the natural right of all the animal and living organisms including human.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of free water. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While you provide reasons for your stance, such as health benefits and affordability, the arguments in the third paragraph regarding 'activities related to water' are unclear and lack logical development. The counter-argument regarding water wastage is relevant, but the overall depth of analysis is limited. To reach a higher band, ensure that every point is fully explained with clear, logical links back to the main argument rather than relying on general statements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a central theme. You use some cohesive devices like 'To begin with', 'Additionally', and 'In conclusion' to signal the structure. However, the flow within paragraphs is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing, such as 'After, introducing charge for water not anybody can stop there'. The use of referencing is occasionally imprecise, which makes some sentences feel disjointed. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer to their antecedents would enhance the overall flow and coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. You rely on basic terms like 'get', 'start', and 'things'. There are also some noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'contagious water' (likely meaning 'contaminated water') and 'price up' (likely meaning 'increase in cost'). To improve, focus on using more academic collocations and precise terminology related to the topic, such as 'public utility', 'financial burden', or 'resource management'. The current range is sufficient to communicate your message but does not demonstrate the flexibility required for higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include incorrect article usage ('the basic human right'), subject-verb agreement ('all human body cells required'), and awkward sentence construction ('it would be after if we put money for it'). While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic grammar rules, particularly articles, verb tenses, and prepositions, to ensure your complex sentences are accurate.
