Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The essay addresses the prompt by taking a clear position, but the development of ideas is limited and repetitive. While you mention that water is a fundamental right, the arguments provided focus more on the biological necessity of water rather than the economic or social implications of providing it free of charge. The response is also under the 250-word minimum, which negatively impacts the depth of your argument. To improve, ensure you provide more substantial, varied reasons and examples that directly address the 'free of charge' aspect of the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is often unclear due to awkward phrasing and repetitive transitions. For example, the phrase 'The another coherent reason behind is that...' is grammatically incorrect and disrupts the flow. While you use some cohesive devices like 'To commence with' and 'Furthermore', they are often used mechanically or incorrectly. The logical connection between sentences is frequently strained, making it difficult for the reader to follow your line of reasoning throughout the text.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is limited and often inaccurate, which hinders the clarity of your message. There are several instances of incorrect word choice and collocation, such as 'prior human right' (instead of 'fundamental'), 'apply free of cost' (instead of 'provided free of charge'), and 'basic builder of human life'. You also struggle with word forms, such as 'significant of water' instead of 'significance'. To reach a higher band, you need to focus on using more precise vocabulary and ensuring that words are used in their correct grammatical context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement ('water is the essential component', 'human body consist of'), article usage ('the essential component', 'the another coherent reason'), and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or poorly constructed, such as 'it is not easy the every for buy of clean water'. While you attempt some complex structures, they are rarely error-free. You need to focus on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like pluralisation and verb forms.
