Student answer (Band 6.0)
Water is the most essential element for living. Pure water is the basic human right due to which it is crucial to have free water supply in each and every household. To which I firmly agree as it is the free element provided by the mother nature to living beings.
My first argument is that consuming contaminated water can lead to cause of various water born disease like jaundice, cholera, amoebic dysentery and many more which can even lead to death or days in hospital bed which can lead to dollar bills of hospital treatment and intake of medications and drains out energy and immunity of the body. Due to which water purification is necessary. Our human body contains 70 percent of water overall therefore intake if gallons of water for daily life is essential to a healthy body without any kind of disease or dehydration and it can help our brain to function efficiently.
Meanwhile they should charge few amount to stop water wastage in the city area as it is limited source for living. But in some underdeveloped areas like slums and under poverty household there is massive scarcity of water to fulfill there daily routine of simple life therefore government should supply tankers of clear water to continue their home chores.
In conclusion as per my point of view every person has right to consume pure non contaminated water so
every home should have a water supply that is provided free of cost. ... . . .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the health benefits of clean water are mentioned, the argument regarding 'free of charge' is contradictory, as you later suggest charging a 'few amount' to prevent wastage. This inconsistency weakens the overall position. The essay touches on the necessity of water for health and the needs of impoverished areas, but these points could be more deeply explored with more specific examples or logical reasoning to reach a higher band. The conclusion is brief and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or slightly awkward, such as starting sentences with 'Due to which' or 'Meanwhile they should charge'. Referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly in the second paragraph where the transition between health benefits and the economic argument feels abrupt. The concluding paragraph is very short and lacks a strong summary, which impacts the overall flow of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. There are several instances of awkward phrasing or incorrect collocations, such as 'lead to cause of various water born disease' (should be 'lead to various water-borne diseases') and 'dollar bills of hospital treatment'. The repetition of basic terms like 'water' and 'essential' limits the lexical range. To improve, focus on using more sophisticated synonyms and ensuring that collocations are natural and accurate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'every person has right'), incorrect preposition usage, and punctuation errors, such as the trailing dots at the end of the essay. The sentence 'intake if gallons of water' contains a typo that disrupts the flow. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band score.
