Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of free water supply. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments regarding health benefits and government accountability are somewhat repetitive and lack depth. The example provided (City A vs. City B) is hypothetical and underdeveloped, failing to provide a concrete or persuasive illustration of the issue. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific, real-world examples or logical consequences to support your claims, ensuring that each paragraph contributes a distinct, well-reasoned point to the overall argument.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'Let me talk about first aspects' and 'to sum up all those things'. Transitions between sentences are sometimes abrupt, and the logical flow within paragraphs is hindered by awkward phrasing. While there is an overall progression, the lack of sophisticated linking words makes the essay feel disjointed. Improving the variety and precision of your cohesive devices will significantly enhance the readability of your work.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. There are several instances of awkward word choices and non-standard collocations, such as 'free providation', 'health related issue of civilians', and 'full with joy'. While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is not sufficient to demonstrate flexibility or precision. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific collocations (e.g., 'public utility', 'socio-economic impact') and avoid using informal or conversational fillers like 'Let me talk about'. Expanding your range to include more academic and precise terminology is essential.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('every citizens', 'government do not listen'), incorrect article usage, and awkward sentence structures ('one of some things which should be necessary to observe'). There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the punctuation is inconsistent. While the meaning is usually understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement and pluralization.
