Student answer (Band 5.0)
The increasing number of people should agree that the access to clean of water is the basic human right and the every person has right to get free water.
I agree in this point of view that free water is our right. government has to provide that. because that is need of every human. water is our life without water human can't survive government should charge but in other facility like electric.
apart of that some people have different point of view like they agree with take charge of water and they must have money and they can afford that but some people not afford that because that is basic need.
Let me give you some example like if environment give us free water that is not ask money from us the why government asking for money so main thing is that water is free for every one and that give use NATURE so government have no right on that.
overall i agree that water must be free of human. clause water give us food, good wether, healthy life and many more advantages.
in conclusion the water give life to us so we have that right that we ask free water from government if they not provide to us.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you clearly state your position in favor of free water, the arguments are repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the point about 'nature' providing water is a good starting concept, but it is not expanded upon with logical reasoning or specific examples. The ideas remain at a superficial level, and the under-length nature of the essay means the task is only partially addressed. To improve, you must expand your arguments with detailed explanations and concrete examples to reach the required length.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into short paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is often disjointed. You use some basic cohesive devices like 'apart of that' and 'in conclusion', but these are often used incorrectly or sound unnatural. The referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the sentence 'government should charge but in other facility like electric', which lacks a clear connection to the previous thought. Paragraphing is present but the paragraphs are very short and do not effectively group related ideas. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would greatly enhance the flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic words like 'water', 'right', 'government', and 'money'. There are also several instances of awkward phrasing and incorrect word choices, such as 'the increasing number of people should agree' (which does not fit the context) and 'good wether' (spelling error). You rely on simple, high-frequency words, which prevents you from expressing more complex ideas with precision. To achieve a higher band score, you should focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to public services, human rights, and economic policy, and practice using them in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede clarity. There are consistent issues with article usage ('the access to clean of water'), subject-verb agreement, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, such as 'water is our life without water human can't survive government should charge'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing capital letters at the start of sentences and misuse of commas. The range of structures is very limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences. You need to focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
