Student answer (Band 5.5)

Some people believe that to get clean and purified water is the fundamental public right for every home without paying any charge for this task. I totally agree with this statement in my personal opinions and public should take effective steps in

this regard.

I know that water is the crucial necessity in our lives. It plays an important role in the society. No one can live without this basic amenity. One of the reasons I agree with this statement that is our democratic statement take no step in this problem. Many of the people died with the serious diseases that are caused by impured and sewage water such as skin cancer, cholrea etc. The main problem that is government are very lethargic in this process.

Many people in various societies have access of clean water by paying the great amount of money. In cities, every citizen get water by filtered water tanks that surveys the towns and provided the clean mineral water and takes charges. every citizen have a proper right that the Government provided with them basic and welfare facility. Public have the perfect right that their state gives their basic opportunities in the case of water without taking any payment for this accessing.

To conclude, my views completely rely on this agreement that we have totally enforcement on our rights. Everyone have the right to get clean and purified water from our public statement and metropolitan institutions. I determined in this regard that we struggled fully to achieve our basic goal.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of free water access. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention health risks like 'skin cancer' and 'cholera' as reasons, the argument lacks depth and specific evidence. The discussion regarding government responsibility is repetitive and lacks a nuanced exploration of the economic or logistical challenges involved in providing free utilities. To improve, you should expand on your points with more detailed explanations or concrete examples of how such a system could be implemented or why it is economically feasible, rather than simply restating the need for it.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the flow between sentences is often mechanical. You rely on basic transitions, and some cohesive devices are used incorrectly or awkwardly, such as 'One of the reasons I agree with this statement that is our democratic statement take no step in this problem.' The referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult to track the logical progression of your argument. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one will significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. You use some repetitive phrasing, such as 'basic right' and 'every citizen.' There are also issues with word choice and collocation, for example, 'impured' (should be 'impure' or 'contaminated') and 'metropolitan institutions' (which does not fit the context of water supply). To reach a higher band, you should aim to use a wider range of topic-specific vocabulary and ensure that words are used in their correct grammatical form and context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex sentences, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('every citizen have', 'government are'), incorrect verb tenses, and awkward sentence structures that occasionally impede clarity. For instance, 'I determined in this regard that we struggled fully to achieve our basic goal' is grammatically unclear. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and sentence construction. You should also practice using complex structures more accurately to demonstrate a wider range of grammatical control.
