Student answer (Band 6.0)
Access to clean water is a basic human right for everyone. Therefore, many people think that every home should get a water supply completely free of charge. I partialy agree with this statement because water is necessary for human survival. But I also believe that clear water is also shhould be limit to stop people from wasting it.
On the other hand, clean water is very important for daily health, hygiene and overall survival. Without access to safe water, people can easily sick, specially for those from poor families who cannot afford high water bills. IF the governmant provides a basic minimum amount of water for free. every citizine live healthy life. This helps protest backward population and creates a much healthy society.
On the other side, if the water is made completely free with no limit or ristrictions many businesses might waste a huge amount of water for their business purposes. When something is free then people does not care about it to saving it. Furthermore, cleaning water sending it safely through pipes requires a large amount of money to develop proper structure. If governmant receives zero income from water services, they will struggle to fixed broken pipes and maintain them and also very hard to stop water wastage or improve public infrastructure.
In conclusion, clean water is definetley a human right, which means basic daily limited amount water should be free for every home. However, people who use exxecive amount of water should pay for it to save water and never wasted it.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have addressed all parts of the prompt by presenting a clear position that balances the human right to water with the necessity of preventing wastage. Your ideas are relevant and logically developed, particularly regarding the economic burden of infrastructure maintenance. To reach a higher band, ensure that your arguments are fully extended; for instance, you could provide a more concrete example of how a tiered pricing system works in practice. Your position is consistent throughout the essay, which is a strength.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use transition signals such as 'On the other hand', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, some cohesive devices are used mechanically, and there are occasional issues with referencing and sentence flow. For example, the transition 'On the other side' is slightly repetitive given the previous paragraph's opening. Paragraphing is used appropriately, and the progression of ideas is generally easy to follow, though some sentences could be linked more fluidly to improve the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'infrastructure', 'survival', and 'hygiene'. However, there are several spelling errors ('partialy', 'shhould', 'protest' instead of 'protect', 'citizine', 'ristrictions', 'exxecive') and word choice inaccuracies ('backward population', 'fixed broken pipes'). These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader, though they do not prevent the message from being understood. To improve, focus on proofreading for common spelling mistakes and expanding your use of collocations related to public policy and economics.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('people does not care'), article usage ('a healthy society'), and sentence fragments ('IF the governmant provides...'). While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to limit your score. To improve, pay closer attention to verb forms and ensure that your complex sentences are punctuated correctly. Focusing on basic grammatical accuracy will help you achieve a more professional tone.
