Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 97 words. This significantly impacts the development of the argument. While you state your position clearly, the ideas are underdeveloped and lack the necessary depth, examples, or counter-arguments required for an academic task. The response ends abruptly mid-sentence, leaving the argument incomplete. To improve, you must expand your points with detailed explanations and relevant examples, ensuring you reach the required length to fully explore the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The essay lacks a clear structure. There is no introduction or conclusion, and the paragraphing is insufficient. While there is a basic attempt to link ideas, the use of cohesive devices is very limited and repetitive. The progression of ideas is hindered by the incomplete nature of the text and the lack of logical transitions between sentences. To improve, you should organize your essay into clear paragraphs—an introduction, two body paragraphs with supporting evidence, and a conclusion—and use a wider variety of linking words to connect your thoughts.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.5

The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, relying on simple terms like 'good water' and 'bad water'. There are several spelling errors, such as 'shuld' for 'should', 'hapatitas' for 'hepatitis', and 'accosiated' for 'associated'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas effectively. To reach a higher band, you need to use a wider range of topic-specific vocabulary and ensure accurate spelling. Focus on learning synonyms and collocations related to public health and infrastructure to enhance the sophistication of your writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The grammar is characterized by frequent errors that occasionally impede communication. Examples include 'I am agree from this point' (should be 'I agree with this point'), 'it cause serious effects' (should be 'it causes'), and 'we are suffer' (should be 'we suffer'). The sentence structures are simple, and there is a lack of complex grammatical forms. Punctuation is also inconsistent. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, correct verb tense usage, and practice constructing more complex sentences using subordinating conjunctions.
