Student answer (Band 5.5)
Access to clean water is a basic human right. Therefore every home should have a water supply that is provided free of charge. Yes i do agree with the statement. Thus discussed in this essay.
In today's era, water is the essential product for all types of living organism like animal, plant and human. There are huge number of resource are available such as river, lake pound and sea. Access to clean water is a basic human right and every home should have a water connectivity which should be free of cost. Many countries charge for water for their daily use its bacause of water shortage. However, some countries charges minimum amount for this facility.
I personally believe that aqua should be free of charge because water is used in daily routine. Additionally it is the many source to generate electricity. However, countries like UAE, USA and China are serving free for their residents. Even in these country tap water are also drinkable. Somehow, India allows 250 liters of aqua for free of charge. Government of India noticed that many people are using for washing, cleaning , drinking and bathing purposes. So, they alloted 250 liters for each family in their nation.
I personally agree with the statement that government of all countries should provide water to the local residents for free. They should not demand any money for using these resource. Moreover, they also provide the notice that waste of aqua leads to punishment. Use it according to its requirement.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of free water. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention that water is a basic right and cite examples like India, the arguments lack depth and logical progression. The essay relies on generalizations rather than a structured analysis of the economic or social implications of providing free water. The introduction is very brief and lacks a clear thesis statement, and the conclusion simply restates the position without summarizing the main points. To improve, focus on expanding your supporting arguments with more detailed explanations and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, focused topic sentence.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow between ideas is often mechanical. You use some cohesive devices like 'Additionally' and 'However,' but they are sometimes used incorrectly or do not effectively link the sentences. For example, the transition between the second and third paragraphs is abrupt. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'Even in these country,' where the pluralization and reference to previous examples are inconsistent. To improve, work on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each sentence logically follows the previous one to create a smoother, more cohesive argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is somewhat repetitive and basic. You frequently use the word 'aqua' incorrectly; 'water' is the standard term in this context. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'water connectivity' instead of 'water supply' or 'water access.' Some phrases are awkward, such as 'essential product for all types of living organism.' While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is limited, and there are noticeable errors in word choice that prevent a higher score. Expanding your vocabulary to include more academic collocations related to public policy and resources would be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('some countries charges'), article usage ('in these country'), and pluralization ('all types of living organism'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma placement. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to distract the reader. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles, before attempting more complex structures. Proofreading for these specific recurring errors would significantly improve your accuracy.
