Student answer (Band 5.0)
Water is essential for our lives without water no one can survive in this world. Clean water is basic right of human that every human should drink safe and clean water therefore every home should have a water supply facilities that is free from charge. Yes, i agree with this statement because clean water can make health perfect and also full fill our thirst .From previous many years peoples face difficulty of water because there is no source of clean water and people are badly affected from it specially children face these adequate shortage of water in there schools there is no water tank in there schools. If water is present in some places there in no advantage of this because the water inside is dirty and have odor smell and water inside is remain of many years. Our government has to decided implementation of water tanks in schools, roads and especially parks because many people went to parks with friends and families to freshen up and for relaxation they play and performed many other activities and after this they fell thirsty but unfortunately there is no source of water in parks that effect the peoples mood. If governments solve this problem this will save the lives of many people and people would be satisfied ton drink clean water.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The essay fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you clearly state your position in favor of free water, the arguments are underdeveloped and repetitive. You focus heavily on the lack of water in schools and parks, but you do not address the broader economic or social implications of providing free water to every home, which is the core of the prompt. The response is too brief to fully explore the complexities of the topic, leading to a superficial treatment of the issue.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay lacks paragraphing, which makes it difficult to follow the progression of your argument. The text is presented as a single block, which is a major weakness in terms of structure. While there are some attempts at cohesive devices like 'therefore' and 'if', the flow is often disjointed. The transition between ideas is mechanical, and the lack of clear topic sentences makes it hard for the reader to identify the main point of each section. You need to organize your thoughts into distinct paragraphs to improve logical flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic words like 'water', 'people', and 'clean'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'full fill our thirst' (instead of 'quench our thirst') and 'odor smell' (which is redundant). You rely on simple phrasing, and there is little evidence of an attempt to use more sophisticated or academic vocabulary appropriate for an IELTS Task 2 essay. To improve, focus on learning synonyms and collocations related to social issues and government policy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('peoples face', 'water inside is remain'), article usage ('basic right of human'), and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on or lack proper punctuation, which makes them difficult to parse. You rely almost exclusively on simple sentence structures, with very few attempts at complex sentences. The errors are frequent and occasionally impede the clarity of your message. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction and punctuation before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
