Student answer (Band 5.5)
I strongly believe that access to clean water is a primary human need and authorities should arrange water supply to everyone by free of cost because water is crucial for existence. We consume water in our all household affairs. Therefore, availability to clean water is necessary.
Clean water is fundamental requirement of life that is utilizing for washing, drinking, cleaning, showering, cooking etc.People who live in urban areas mainly face the issue of clean water as they spend plenty of money to buy water tanks and cans for household needs. It leads to many stressing situation like students get late due to water unavailability and people wait for long hours for supply of water to take bath to cook to clean. So it is seriously concerned disaster of the time.
Furthermore, the lackness of clean water caused serious health hazards like diaherra and some other stomach disorders. The individuals who are already in very distress conditions of living suffered a lot because they have not enough resources to meet their daily needs like clean water and medications so after they become ill, they lead to death ultimately. The govt should take the all necessary measures to combat this issue and make sure the supply of clean water to everyone in our country. The high authorities have to ensure the plantation of water filtration plant in every locality.
In conclusion, the shortage of clean water is a very concerned problem that should be resumed immediately to overcome all the chaotic situations that can be raised. The concerned authorities should do precaution measures to make access of individuals to clean water resources.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The essay addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of free water supply. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention health hazards and urban difficulties, the arguments remain at a surface level. To reach a higher band, you should provide more nuanced reasoning or specific examples—perhaps discussing the economic feasibility or the potential for government mismanagement. The conclusion is a bit repetitive, and the term 'resumed' is used incorrectly in this context. Overall, the response is relevant and the position is consistent, but it lacks the depth of analysis required for a higher score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a central focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore' and 'In conclusion' to signal transitions. However, the flow is occasionally hindered by mechanical phrasing and some awkward transitions between sentences. For instance, the jump from household chores to urban water tank issues is a bit abrupt. Referencing is generally clear, but the use of cohesive devices could be more sophisticated and varied to improve the overall flow of ideas. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs could be more tightly knit.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range expected at higher levels. There are several instances of non-standard word choices, such as 'lackness' (lack), 'distress conditions' (distressed conditions), and 'do precaution measures' (take precautionary measures). You rely on basic vocabulary to convey your points. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and academic terminology. While your meaning is always clear, the lack of variety and the presence of word-formation errors limit your score in this criterion.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Common issues include article usage ('the all necessary measures'), preposition errors ('by free of cost'), and subject-verb agreement. Some sentences are also slightly awkward, such as 'it is seriously concerned disaster of the time.' While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall fluency. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic grammar rules and practicing more complex sentence constructions.
