Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both sides of the argument, but the position is inconsistent. While you state you are 'partly agree', the development of ideas is often unclear or contradictory. For example, you argue for free water due to low income, then argue against it due to wastage, but the connection between these points is weak. The supporting evidence, such as the 'new research' and 'recent survey', is vague and lacks specific detail, which limits the depth of your argument. To improve, ensure your position is clearly stated in the introduction and maintained consistently throughout the essay, with each paragraph focusing on a single, well-developed supporting point.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow is frequently interrupted by unclear transitions and awkward phrasing. While you use some cohesive devices like 'To commence with' and 'Moving on further', they are often used incorrectly or do not effectively link the ideas. Referencing is also problematic; for instance, the phrase 'in our mind they water is free' is confusing and disrupts the reader's understanding. The progression of ideas is not always clear, making it difficult to follow your argument. Using a wider range of linking words more accurately and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly improve your score.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive, with frequent errors in word choice and collocation that occasionally impede communication. For example, you use 'the former nation' instead of 'the former notion', and 'leackege' is misspelled. Phrases like 'water usage of making food' are unnatural. You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle to express complex ideas precisely. To reach a higher band, focus on learning collocations (e.g., 'water consumption' instead of 'water usage') and expanding your range of academic vocabulary to avoid repeating words like 'free of charges' and 'clean water' throughout the text.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement, sentence structure, and punctuation. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, such as 'Which I will elaborate in upcoming paragraph before reaching a concrete conclusion.' There are also persistent errors with articles and prepositions, such as 'many peoples are lower income'. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty and cause confusion. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring every sentence has a clear subject and verb, and proofreading for common errors like pluralization and verb tense consistency.
