Student answer (Band 5.5)
There is no doubt that water is vital for everyone, whether its human, animals and environment. Some believed that human rights includes the access of clean water. So every home the supply of water should be free in every home. I partially agree with this statement. In this essay, I will discuss the reasons in upcoming paragraphs.
To start with, water is the basic need of every living creature yet it is a non-renewable source. Therefore, providing water supply should be necessary in home. However, if water is needed in everyday activity such as cooking, bath and for drinking. If it cost becomes a implement on water, middle class and poor families will not be able to afford it in such inflation era. Further, providing water with no cost can improve the health of the public. As if water become will not be free, the public may be forced to drink the dirty water. Therefore, the clean water should be free.
On the other hand, water is a non-renewable resources, so water could be recycled but cannot be created. Addition in, sufficient charges should be implement on usage of water among homes. However, high authorities need to carry out some research to recycle water in fastest and cleanest way. Moreover, there is only 1% water is drinkable, so if it is providing to citizen at free of cost they might waste it in other activities likes washly dishing, cars and many more rather than drinking.
In conclusion, although water is a basic yet vital need of human being of inhabitants yet the use of water should be done wisely despite using it freely. However, using water wis This will not only help to save water but also to minimize the recycle the water.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the provision of free water, and a position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat inconsistent. While you provide reasons for both sides, some arguments are under-developed or slightly contradictory, such as the discussion on water being non-renewable versus the need for recycling. The conclusion is also slightly disjointed and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented. To improve, ensure that each paragraph focuses on a single, well-supported point and that your conclusion clearly summarizes your final stance without introducing new, confusing phrasing.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'Addition in' is not a standard transition, and the flow between sentences is occasionally interrupted by awkward phrasing. Referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly in the final paragraph where the sentence structure breaks down. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'nonetheless') and ensure that each sentence logically follows the previous one to create a smoother progression of ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward word choices or incorrect collocations, such as 'cost becomes a implement on water', 'washly dishing', and 'high authorities'. These errors occasionally make the meaning slightly opaque. To improve, try to learn collocations in context rather than individual words. Expanding your range to include more academic or topic-specific vocabulary, such as 'subsidized', 'infrastructure', or 'resource management', would significantly enhance your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Some believed that human rights includes'), incorrect article usage, and awkward sentence construction (e.g., 'if water become will not be free'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic errors like verb tense consistency and ensuring that your complex sentences are grammatically sound.
