Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, clean water is a basic human nature, every residence should have water supply for free. I agree with these proposal, and it will discuss in these essay.
Overall, clean water access everywhere, in houses, restaurant, any other public areas. But do people have rights to have any free water supply? There are a lot of arguments about that. Some people think that water system ought for a fee, the reason for this is that human beings treat a lot of clean water in vain, might lead to a big global problems, for example pollution, climate change and so on. On the other hand, it is true to say that individuals should have rights to have only free water provisions, as far as i am concerned waterworks gave big chance to improve basic household chores and become better for demand human beings.
To my way of thinking, running water ought be for free in world, most of all for needy countries. For instance Africa, Central Asia, India and other commonwealth. It is often claimed that sustaining public water services is nearly impossible because the maintenance of aging or non-existent infrastructure poses a severe financial burden on developing nations.
Consequently, clean water access is a core business, people shouldn't pay for that, especially destitute people and sovereign states.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you state your position clearly in the introduction, the arguments provided are underdeveloped and lack sufficient supporting evidence or examples. For instance, the mention of 'needy countries' is a good starting point, but it is not expanded upon to explain how free water would practically function or be funded. To improve, you must ensure each body paragraph contains a clear topic sentence followed by detailed explanation and a relevant example, ensuring the total length exceeds the minimum threshold.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay has a basic structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the logical progression is often hindered by awkward transitions and unclear referencing. For example, the phrase 'it will discuss in these essay' is grammatically incorrect and disrupts the flow. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often mechanical or misused, such as 'Consequently' at the start of the final paragraph, which does not logically follow the previous point about infrastructure. Paragraphing is present but the internal organization of ideas within those paragraphs is weak, making the overall argument difficult to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often imprecise. You rely on basic terms like 'big' and 'good', and there are several instances of incorrect word choice, such as 'basic human nature' instead of 'basic human right' and 'treat a lot of clean water in vain' instead of 'waste'. Some phrases are also non-idiomatic, such as 'demand human beings'. To reach a higher band, you need to use a wider range of vocabulary, including less common lexical items and collocations, and ensure that words are used accurately in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('water system ought for a fee'), article usage ('in world'), and sentence structure ('running water ought be for free'). The range of structures is limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences with some errors in complex constructions. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and capitalization. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence patterns and proofreading for common errors like missing verbs or incorrect prepositions.
