Student answer (Band 6.0)
The facility to receive clean drinkable water is a necessity for every human being. Therefore, every home should have a water supply that is provided for free. In my perspective, I strongly agree with the idea of getting clean drinkable water in every house hold. However, to maintain the supply a small amount of charge should be imposed.
Water is a basic human need and every government should supply water in each household to keep the residents carefree from this facility. In any country if fundamental needs are not fulfilled individual can not achieve big dreams. If people will be running after for their essential needs they will be short of time to achieve their life goals. They will not be able to participate with their full energy in different sectors.
However, with the consistent supply of water in every household, It is essential to keep a small amount as service charges. It's human nature when people get something free of cost they don't value and result in wastage of a product. The world is not at the stage to bear the loss of drinkable water as it is only about 3%. Global warming is causing a lot of environmental destruction and the world is facing less rains. so it is very important that we learn to embrace a gift of God.
In conclusion, It is state's liability to provide every resident with basic needs (Water, Electricity) to live a comfortable life. Even though if residents can't afford, government should allocate a budget to provide them subsidized facilities to develop a healthy community.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have addressed all parts of the prompt by presenting a clear position and supporting it with relevant arguments. You acknowledge the importance of water as a human right while providing a balanced view regarding the necessity of charging for it to prevent wastage. Your ideas are relevant, though the development could be more detailed. For example, the point about global warming and water scarcity is a strong argument, but it could be expanded further to fully explore the implications of free versus paid water. Overall, you have maintained a consistent position throughout the essay, which meets the requirements for a Band 6.5 or 7.0 level of task response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'However', 'In conclusion', and 'Therefore' to link your ideas. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing and sentence flow. For instance, the transition between the second and third paragraphs could be smoother. The paragraphing is appropriate, and the progression of ideas is generally clear, though the internal structure of some sentences could be improved to enhance the flow of information. This level of organization is consistent with Band 6.5.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'fundamental needs', 'subsidized', and 'liability'. There are some instances of slightly unnatural phrasing, such as 'carefree from this facility' and 'embrace a gift of God', which slightly limit the precision of your expression. While you attempt to use less common vocabulary, some word choices are not entirely accurate in context. However, the vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly throughout the essay without causing confusion. To reach a higher band, focus on more precise collocations and idiomatic usage.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'individual can not achieve' (missing article), 'running after for their essential needs' (unnecessary preposition), and 'Even though if residents can't afford' (incorrect structure). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some inconsistencies with capitalization and comma usage. While these errors are noticeable, they do not impede the reader's understanding of your arguments. You have a good grasp of basic structures, but more consistent control over complex sentence forms is needed to move into the higher bands.
