Student answer (Band 5.0)
Access to clean water is the basic need for all mankind. It totally agree with this 100%. Drinking fresh and clean water is the basic human right. Fresh and clean water make us healthy. Everybody need water for survival. I would say animal should also have the right to have access to the clean water as well. The government should make proper resources for the common people to access clean and healthy water. Because common people make the foundation of any country strong. These are the common people that work day and night as labors, waiters, farmers e.tc for the government to run properly. So access to clean water make then healthy. Getting their basic rights will boost their enthusiasm to work more hard for the country. The children are the real assets of the country, if they didn't get access to clean and fresh water they will have to drink the unhealthy water which will make the ill. Drinking unclean and unhygienic water causes soo many new disease such as diarrhea, constipation, insomnia and many other diseases which will affect the people's health. And they will use the assets of the government which will make many difficulty for the government. Clean and hygienic water is a blessing of Allah Almighty for all the human kinds as well as the animals. So not giving access to the people and animals of the god, this is disobeying to the god himself. On the other hand water is the basic right for all mankind in each and every religion. And not giving it to everyone is disobeying all religion at once. each and every living thing on this planet earth should have the access to clean and fresh water , as it is their basic right.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position, but the development of ideas is limited. While you argue that water should be free, the essay relies heavily on repetition rather than exploring the economic or logistical implications of such a policy. The argument regarding animals is tangential and distracts from the core focus on human rights and government policy. To improve, you should focus on providing more structured arguments, such as the impact on public health versus the economic burden on the state, rather than repeating the same points about basic rights.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay lacks paragraphing, which is a significant issue for coherence. It is presented as a single block of text, making it difficult to follow the progression of ideas. While there are some attempts at linking ideas using words like 'because' and 'so', the flow is often repetitive and mechanical. To reach a higher band, you must organise your response into clear paragraphs: an introduction, body paragraphs with distinct points, and a conclusion. Using a wider variety of cohesive devices, such as 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in contrast', would also improve the logical flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is somewhat limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic terms like 'basic', 'clean', and 'fresh'. There are also some inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'make the ill' instead of 'make them ill' and 'make many difficulty' instead of 'create many difficulties'. While the meaning is generally clear, the range is not sufficient to demonstrate the flexibility required for higher bands. You should aim to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary related to public policy, economics, and health to enhance the sophistication of your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('Everybody need water', 'access to clean water make then healthy') and article usage errors ('the basic need', 'the real assets'). Sentence structures are mostly simple, with limited attempts at complex sentences. The punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of 'e.t.c' and the capitalization of 'god'. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and sentence construction. Increasing the variety of your sentence structures by using subordinate clauses would also help demonstrate a wider grammatical range.
