Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response is significantly under-length, failing to meet the 250-word minimum requirement. Consequently, the development of ideas is severely limited. While you state your position clearly in the introduction, the body paragraph is incomplete and cuts off mid-sentence. You have not provided a balanced discussion or a conclusion. To improve, you must expand your arguments with specific examples and ensure you address all parts of the prompt. The current length prevents a full exploration of the topic, which is a major constraint on your score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay lacks a clear structure due to its incomplete nature. While you attempt to use cohesive devices like 'Firstly' and 'Therefore', the progression of ideas is interrupted by the abrupt ending. Paragraphing is attempted, but the second paragraph is unfinished, making it difficult to assess your ability to manage logical flow. To improve, focus on completing your thoughts and using a wider variety of linking words to connect your sentences and paragraphs more fluidly.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is somewhat limited and repetitive. There are several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'In patient years' (likely meaning 'In past years') and 'free of the charge'. You rely on basic vocabulary to express your ideas. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise, academic vocabulary and ensure that your word choices are accurate. Focus on learning common collocations related to social issues and human rights to improve your expression.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'Natural resources are the free gift of the God' (incorrect article usage) and 'I agree with the access to clean water is a basic human right' (incorrect prepositional structure). Sentence structures are generally simple, and there is a lack of complex sentence variety. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement, article usage, and sentence construction. Practicing the use of complex sentences will also help you demonstrate a wider grammatical range.
