Student answer (Band 5.5)

Water is a basic human need. Its access to everyone is a basic human right according to the united states. Therefore, its supply to every single home should be free of cost. I partially agree with the statement. Although, it is a good initiative but it can cause big economic burden on the government.

At first, I know that water is an essential element. Without water, survivol is impossible. But according to my perspective, it leads to a huge problem on the economy of developing countries like us. I think that government shout should take on this problem. There are many solutions to this problem. For examle, there should be a time limit on free water afterwhich if anyone takes water, then he has to pay an amount to government. Also, government can take the action to give the free water to such people who are illigible to manage the basic human needs or poor people and take money to giving those people which have no economy issue or those people who belonged to the elite class.

As I made the above statement against the free supply of water but it does not means that I have ignored the importance of pure water. I am well-known that drinking pure water is essential for survival. It improves our health and according to health departments, its has major contribution in good health. If it is not availabe, it can cause serious diseases of lungs and heart. So, government should take such way which have no effect no economy of country while it also provides the best way for the supply of pure water for drinking.

In short, I want to sy that also pure water is essential but that does not mean that it should be completely free as it can cause economic issues for developing countries. Government should take small amount of money so, it has no effect on country economy.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear, partially-agree position. You identify the economic burden on governments as a counter-argument and propose a tiered system for water pricing. While the ideas are relevant, they are somewhat under-developed. For instance, the suggestion of a 'time limit' on free water is a creative idea but lacks explanation on how it would be practically implemented. To reach a higher band, ensure that your supporting arguments are more fully extended with specific examples or logical consequences. The position is consistent throughout, but the development of the 'elite class' versus 'poor people' argument could be more sophisticated.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Although', 'At first', and 'In short' to guide the reader. However, the flow is occasionally interrupted by mechanical or repetitive transitions. For example, the phrase 'As I made the above statement' is a bit clunky and draws unnecessary attention to the structure of the essay. Referencing is generally clear, but the connection between sentences could be smoother to improve the overall progression of ideas. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the introduction, body, and conclusion.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'essential element', 'economic burden', and 'elite class'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and spelling mistakes, such as 'survivol' (survival), 'illigible' (eligible), and 'sy' (say). These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your writing. To improve, focus on using more academic collocations and ensure you proofread for basic spelling errors. The vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning, but it lacks the flexibility and sophistication required for higher bands.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'its has major contribution' (it has a major contribution), 'government shout should take' (government should take), and 'those people which have no economy issue' (those people who have no economic issues). While these errors are noticeable, they rarely impede the reader's understanding. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of relative pronouns. Increasing the frequency of error-free complex sentences will help you move into the 7.0 band.
