Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position, but the development of ideas is limited. The arguments regarding water as a 'gift of nature' and the economic disparity between social classes are relevant but remain superficial. The essay fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the depth of the analysis and the overall task completion. To improve, you should expand on your arguments with more detailed examples or counter-arguments to ensure the response is fully developed and meets the length requirement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'So effective it is essay for those family'. Transitions between ideas are sometimes abrupt, and the logical flow is hindered by grammatical errors. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') more naturally and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that supports your main position.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for basic communication but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word-choice errors, such as 'utilize of water' instead of 'utilization' or 'usage', and 'make low right' which is unclear. You rely on simple, repetitive vocabulary. To improve, try to incorporate more academic collocations and precise terminology related to the topic, such as 'socio-economic status', 'universal access', or 'public utility'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('water play a vital role'), incorrect word forms ('not all people belongs'), and sentence structure errors ('there are people usage used water'). While you attempt some complex sentences, they are often faulty. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles and prepositions. Proofreading for common errors like pluralization and verb tense consistency will also help improve your score.
