Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The arguments regarding health benefits and economic accessibility are relevant and supported by examples, such as the mention of Delhi. However, the development is somewhat limited; the essay could be improved by exploring the counter-argument (e.g., the feasibility of providing free water for all, or the potential for waste if it is not priced) to provide a more balanced and nuanced discussion. While the position is clear, the depth of analysis remains at a basic level, preventing a higher score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'At the outset', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or awkward, such as 'Moving towards rest of information'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the introduction, body, and conclusion, which provides a coherent structure overall.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey their ideas clearly. There are some attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'multifarious' and 'noteworthy', though some word choices are imprecise or slightly unnatural, such as 'depicts light on' (should be 'shed light on') and 'infectious insects' (insects are vectors, not infectious themselves). Spelling is generally accurate, but the range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, relying on repetitive phrasing in certain sections.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader, such as 'I am agree' (I agree), 'can also leads to' (can also lead to), and 'their are' (there are). Punctuation is generally functional, though some errors in article usage and subject-verb agreement persist. While the meaning is rarely obscured, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band score. More attention to basic verb forms and article usage is needed.
